Those crazy animals...

I saw a robin on the ground gorging on worms. How ya get all them worms? Then I noticed the ground under him moving and breaking up. He was following the path of a mole moving just under the surface, where the bird could easily snag worms in the freshly turned soil. Awfully smart of him, and a curious sight for me.

I almost killed a dog that was off leash on my ride yesterday. It’s only a matter of time if those fools keep insisting on allowing their dogs to wonder off leash where it is clearly posted that they cannot.

 

That and around here they constantly take their dogs on trails clearly marked NO DOGS. I Mention it and always get "what sign" ? Uh, the two big ass signs. One at the entrance the other 100 feet onto the trail?
But I guess it not as bad as people building and riding unapproved trails.

And I too almost took put an unleashed dog the other day.
And the dog that was snarling and barking at me on the leash....was ready to kick it in the head of it got close.

That looks like a load of fun. Add a bike rack rack, pickup or van and you have the ultimate solo (@evdog) setup. I could have a ball with it without breaking any laws.

Same price as a mountain bike, but could replace a car costing 3x as much, go 300 miles in a day, and still be portable.

Been eyeing the WR for a few years. If OC shuts down to pedal bikes someday that’s where my play money will be going. they hold their value/go forever. Little undergunned on the freeway and a little heavy to be a dedicated dirt bike, but you could do some Homeric epic voyages on it.

I think I paid $2200 for my moto. Has been well worth it.
