In the last few months before the apocalypse, I had lost probably 15-20 pounds... Getting close to that sub 200 weight I love so much. I was getting ready to buy new riding shorts, because mine were all too baggy. My wife bought me some time by sewing elastic into a few pair to tighten the waists. :p

That was in preparation for: True Grit, Sundance, Pioneertown, etc...

Let's just say that I'm going to hold off on buying some new riding gear... Thankfully my scale is in storage somewhere.

    I haven't missed a meal since sequestration began. :(

And this never-ending rain is keeping me sedentary. I don't like most forms of exercise for the sake of exercise, but I better start adding something into my daily routine, even if it's just stairs.

I’ve been maintaining. Trying to just skip meals when I’m not as hungry. Eating because bored is a real thing. Makes it even worse being stuck inside and having a ton of food around. I’m having withdrawals not going to the gym.

Are people really gaining weight during this "stay at home order?" I'm pretty sure I'm gonna blow up when restaurants begin allow dine in. I'll never take Golden Corral for granted again.

Most of the restaurants out here are doing take out and using several food delivery services. Even my sushi place opened back up just for me. :whistling:

I'm sure there's plenty of people binge eating on doritos and soda without moving more than 50 ft around the house all day long. I can definitely see it. I really have to keep myself from digging around for snacks just from sheer boredom at night.

Eating take out and at home just isn't cutting it for me. I need my Olive Garden endless stuffed pasta... endless shrimp at Red Lobster... AYCE Sushi... AYCE KBBQ... Souplantation, Sizzler, Golden Corral, Generic Chinese Buffet, etc... and all those places that have those Sunday brunch buffets. :bang::bang::bang: I'm having buffet withdrawls...

I've been making breakfast every morning (hash browns and eggs, breakfast burritos, bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwiches, french toast, etc), a big sandwich for lunch and a real dinner (pasta alfredo with chicken last night) every day for three weeks. My usual routine is no breakfast (maybe a pack of Belvita crackers), a crappy lunch of school pizza or equivalent, and a foraged dinner at 8 pm of whatever I can put together or whatever my wife brought home. My calorie intake has probably doubled. My exercise has been cut to 20% of normal. The math does not look good. 3 dog walks per day does not burn many calories.

    :bang:  :(

I'm in off season maintenance mode, since we have no season this year. I put on a few pounds and enjoy some more junk food.I imagine if I get laid off, I'll drop all that weight in days

Crispy hash browns, bacon, cheese and a pair of lightly folded fried eggs. Add green chile. Consume voraciously!

Add your own condiments as you see fit. Tomatoes, jalapenos (pickled or raw), onions, spam - whatever you like. BTW - my green chile is plenty spicy!

Almost a year later....and I'm eating healthier than ever. Fish & veggies a couple times a week, alternating with other lean meats & occasional stir fry. Either me or the wife cooking 9 out of 10 nights a week.

Eating healthy is expensive. Eating less is hard. Not commuting by bike makes it harder to keep fitness on track.

    How say you?

When we moved into the new house, I packed the scale away and hid it in the bottom of the closet. That was 9 months ago.

I set a goal over 2 years ago to get to below 200, but I’ve been hovering between 215 and 225 (down from a high of 240ish). I fluctuate 10 pounds throughout the day, and part of that is the fact I use a scale from Harbor Freight to weigh myself...so I’m not sure what I weigh. I do know I love chicken nuggets and mini corn dogs and cheeseburgers and french fries and tater tots and bacon and sausage and hash brown potatoes and pastrami and chili fries topped with cheddar, grilled onion, and pastrami, and my dad sold that Sh!t for a living and I had unlimited soda fountain beverages and ice cream shakes growing up. Also I usually polish off any food that remains on my wife’s and kids’ dishes. I still plan to see y’all on the other side of 200 pounds.
