iMTBtrails is a "no rider left behind" organization

Gang, I lurked on STR today and see there are two new members who introduced themselves to an empty theatre. Not even the crickets liked either of their posts. One of them in particular is asking for bicycle advice. I am not a member of that site and do not wish to join. Please, would one of you who maintains membership on STR reach out to these folks and point them in the right direction?

What a great site this is. We even go out of our way to find those who aren't fortunate enough to find us on their own.

I have a "The other site" jersey that's been in moths for years, in case someone needs a spare...

I've pulled many a lost soul over here from over there. But, eventually, their two remaining members started saying bad things about me.

 

It's sad to see what that place has become. I joined STR in 2006 and lived through all its troubles. I guess I just don't understand why it was left to whither on the vine the way it did. All of us live in a world with computer viruses, hacks, system problems, etc. Big deal- you get a problem, you fix it, and you move on. Just seems like such a waste especially since so many wanted to help, yet the owner seemed to have lost interest in the site. At least I never heard or read anything which explained his point of view.

I know I was one of the original 15 when the other site started up.....so I had seen it go from nothing to grand back to nothing.

Lack of passion seems to not be a problem here – on the admin and user sides. We care too much and are borderline too amped on biking
