@Tom the Bomb , myself and possibly @Voodoo Tom are still lookin for a riding plan the day of.
Guys, you don’t keep a guy like Tom the Bomb waiting.
As well if we do go get dirty, will we have a place to clean up prior to the party?
Plan.... plan... we need a PLAN!

 

What kinda ride you want? How long?

 

Ok plan change for me. Riding Friday and Sunday. No riding for me on Sat. I am planning on the party though.

 

A lot of my normal goods are out due to the fire.

We could always do something in Laguna with the masses, or head out to San Juan Trail, or we are getting Blackstar/Motorway back tomorrow.

 

We can always use miscellaneous snack / finger foods.

Also I will have a few different beers - plus water and soft drinks. If you have a preferred beverage feel free to bring it!

 

Pool temp is 84. Looks like BBQ weather is going to be awesome!

Well, I have no idea of travel times and distances, do not know where the pool party is so I'm really in your OC hands for a plan. Do I bring the Yeti? Do I bring the Hightower? I always love San Juan, but that sounds so far away... but if that works!
Do what you will with me. Still waiting for @Voodoo Tom to chime in on an official "IN" or out... as well.

It’s about a 3-3.5 hr ride.

 

Not going to work for me I'm bummed But on the bright side I'll ride local early before the wife leaves and I get to spend the weekend with Nick crafting for a school project and doing guy stuff.

Looks like a 2 hour 13 minute drive for me. You wanna meet at 8:00am?

Fire road? Singletrack? Chunk, flow? Big Climbs, XC? All Mountain?

 

8am works.

I ride it on the SS. Some fire road, a little chunk, some flow, segmented climbs. We start off going through a crowded county park, then out to Santiago Teuck Trail, up to Ild Camp, then back down to Luge, then back over through the county park. You’ll have fun on the HT.

Social pace..,,,but not stops every 1/4 mile.

 

A little of all of that... depending on the exact route he takes you. You'll be going down the Luge, at the minimum. Plus you'll get to see the bottom of Joplin where it comes out at Old Camp... which just means you'll want to come back to try Joplin some day When you ride Santiago Truck Trail towards Old Camp, you'll be able to look down into Trabuco Canyon and see my daughter and me picking up trash!

So if the party doesn't start till 4:00, and the morning ride will be over at approximately noon, what are the plans for noon to 4:00?

I am so bummed I'm going to miss this.

 

For the record, the 4PM time is not a hard start. If people want to show up a little early and hop in the pool, fine with me. I might still be setting up some stuff, but I am hoping to have most of the prep done today because I will be busy tomorrow AM.
