I say pretty damn stout if that's a 20" BMX rear!
I was gonna say that is a stout gear to start off with....but then I remembered you are on 26" wheels.
Just remember, technique is just as important as power.
26" wheels, 34 x 20 works out roughly the same gear inches as what you guys all seem to recommend running on a 29er so I figured that was as good a starting spot as any (plus I already had the 34 on the front)
One of the reasons for heading down this route! Having no gears to rely on certainly makes you focus on the trail and plan ahead.
Rode my beast around the lake last week.
Love the Titanium and Carbon Fiber goodies. This is my dream bike. Siting just a tad under 18#. 32-20 gearing for the mountains. Fullerton loop gets 32-16 which gets me under 1 hr. lap times.
