    Nope. Kept going.
I think it happened cause I came from old camp. Coming down, I didn’t continue right onto the luge. I went up the small hill to the flag and took some photos. I think all that time was included in the segment. Whatever’s o_O

I serve on the board for AlzOut we did a Spin class fundraiser today at Cyclebar. I have never done spin before. I was skeptical. But I had a great time. Its easy taking the directions when the teacher is a hottie, and my testosterone was flowing from all the yoga pants in the room. I came in 3rd place. This won't be my last class.

It can happen either at the flag or the bottom... You wander too far and you're in the segment. Like is said above, look at your moving time. It's visible on a computer, but I don't think you can see it on the mobile app.

Edit: Same with Motorway... If you're looking for your time, stop a few hundred feet from the Moto-barrier to take your break, and then roll into the start.

Did a quick out and back on Harding yesterday. Starting out, I was chatting with a cross-country runner bro that I see on the trails from time to time, and he said Blackstar was closed - that there was a HIKER down who needed to be helivaced(!) (This was about 6 AM). Anyone hear anything about this?

At any rate, beautiful day for biking. The whole trail was surrounded by marine layer, but I poked through the clouds at about mile 3, and the rest of the ride was dry, warm and sunny. Saw a surprising number of peeps as I was coming back down the mountain. I counted over 15 mountain bikers... and no e-bikes(!) 18.5 miles, 3450 feet.

I was the guy who stopped to talk to you at the bottom of the 5 Oaks trailhead. Bummer about your bike, but thanks for the beta on the Car Wreck drop - I ended up there after doing 5 Oaks and Stairsteps. Had no idea it had changed so much, and would probably have hucked it - and maybe eaten it...

You found my mud hole from last week :D I walked round it yesterday. I managed to hit Borrego just before a group of about 4o hikers. Some big groups of riders out as well but luckily most of them were stopped when I caught them. Finally broke out of the murk just after the cut gate on STT. Arrived at the Luge to find the whole place to myself.

I was on my long travel bike this weekend as I'd discovered late Saturday night that the aforementioned mud hole had bent the Whytes rear derailleur hanger and it was about to fracture. It was a bit of a pig to drag up the hills but rewarded me with a PB down the Luge. Finished off the legs on the way back through Whiting by coming down Cactus, back up to Vulture View down Sage Scrub and then back up Line Shack before scooting out Live Oak. Was regretting some life choices when I got home, shoulders and neck have been giving me some issues and have early onset bubonic plague (man flu) so was feeling pretty down afterwards. Works kicking my arse at the moment though so needed some time away.

I went to stretch the legs on the single speed... I rode a few trails in the Ladera Ranch area.:whistling: On my way down Waterworks, I stumbled upon OC's newest legal trail. Pretty cool...

I went up Las Flores Ridge, which is definitely the wrong way to ride it... There were a couple HAB spots on the single speed, but they were short. The trail crosses under Antonio Parkway and eventually intersects with the Ladera Ridge Trail. I came back down the same way and continued onto Waterworks for a 1.6 mile DH. Pretty cool length for suburbia.

I know that there are a lot of trails that were "lost" in the last few years, but it's kinda cool to see one open up for legal riding...

that is great! When i rode there for the first time a few months back, i loved it so much. I thought the Ladera Ridge trail was for example very nice. Then i bumped into a fence with a closed sign (but a runner came towards me). I biked back then turnt left to Antonio with a steep descent to the viaduct. Is that the new legal trail? (Loved it.....). Damn i wish i could ride my bike every day but alas...

San Juan to Cocktail Rock with the Professor and Mini Professor. No PRs on the way up, but Mini was climbing pretty strong today. The days of waiting for him on the climbs may be over. :cautious:

The loose section from mile 2 to mile 3 was extra loose today. Lots of energy burned to keep traction and momentum on the single speed. It might be time for a new rear tire...

Fun run down in the chilly dark...

Had surgery on 12/6. Just now getting back in the swing of things after many weeks off and since getting on the bike 1.5 weeks ago, I've ridden 6 of those 11 days. Starting to feel like myself again.

Just a mini since I work late tonight, but man this Ripley is a saweeeeet ride! Not only is she pretty, but she can climb much faster than my 5010:geek:. I couldn’t get a great overall feel for the bike as the flowy ST at the top of GE is fuking destroyed:cry:, it looks like a war zone! They’re moving East along the trail and FR, and it’s not good for us GE lovers!:(
Anyways, the ride back down was weird as the suspension isn’t dialed in for my weight and the tires were way overinflated for the first half. I’ll take her back out this wknd after checking the susp;)

I loved (love? i have the frame in a box and am thinking about building it back up) my Ripley LS. This new one is supposed to be even better. I can't think of very many trails it won't be able to take on.

As long as you are not bombing those supertech rides the Ripley will be fine. The Ripley has the same travel as my Jet 9 and I ride it anywhere I want with no regrets.

I rode the Ripley on everything from my local trails (from easy to, uh, not easy!) to bike park trails, including Mammoth (the opposite of bike park flow?). Should be good on super tech!

Yesterday’s Whiting-Luge loop through Santa Ana hurricane winds. I was literally blown off the road on Modjeska Grade Rd. I admit I was scared sh!tless on a couple of exposed segments on STT. I skipped riding up to the Luge flag mound. Just walked up to take a quick pic of the billowing flags.
