San Juan from Blue Jay-Viejo Tie-Chiquito with @sir crashalot. Just beat the rain... it started as we were loading up the car. Trails were in surprisingly good shape, no bad erosion issues, a few trees down. And someone worked on Chiquito, in a good way. Very excellent ride in great conditions (50 at start, 42 at end) and supertacky dirt.

And the sound from the Chiquito waterfall and creek brought joy to our hearts:x3:

What a great ride. Classic Chiquito/Viejo Tie winter run, cool and cloudy with velcro dirt but dry rocks. We were considering adding in ccw san juan loop trail for some extra crdit, but it started pouring as we were discussing it. Nah.

haha, thats ironic. "Mother Nature can suck it!"
(I was reading aloud a text from another buddy who was working today; who was (understandably) frustrted that for a 3d weekend in a row local trails would be closed due to rain. He wasnt really serious.)

Thanks @sir crashalot . I guess a break from the action every now and then isn't too horrible of an idea. Just glad I didn't have to make you wait on me so much! Perfect ride for a comeback from my back issue, no pain at all :)

Hey Tom, I didn't really notice any. I think the brush was trimmed back last year sometime, so little encroachment (of brush/PO) on the trail right now. Let us know if you want to get a weekday ride in there before it gets hot. Honestly it was in the best shape I've seen it in awhile.

Up Maple Spring with 6 others. They went to Motorway but my rear brake didn't attend the ride so I just turned around at 4C. I'll try to remember all the names: @mtnbikej @Faust29 @Ebruner @Derek13 @KiLO and ... dammit, I'm horrible with names.

Fun ride. Water crossings are wet and so are my feet. It was cold.

I was a sour puss all morning for not joining this but kinda glad I didn’t because I would have slowed the group. This is my last post until I do a proper mountain bike ride, until then I’m just a former rider with a really expensive piece of plastic in my garage.

Maple/Motorway with some iMTB animals. I had no legs today and was way over dressed. I’m learning. I liked every part of the ride and company was great.

Boo Hoff trail in La Quinta. Steep techy climbing, techy flow downs and a volcanic rock garden. Nice weather and hero desert dirt. 16/2800 felt like way more. No mishaps just good riding with @Tom the Bomb , Dan and the Trail Slayer. These guys are animals!

What a ride crazy. Tough climbing, very cool descending. The Trail slayer slayed it! Grego and Dan the Animal climbed it and I walked it! At least it felt like it. That was some very steep climbing!
    Good riding guys!

Got out today for a San Juan lollipop. Parking lot was overflowing at 9 am. Nice and cool when I started. The bottom half up to cocktail rock is in decent shape considering the recent rains. Lots of water on the trail. Some of the ruts were HAB. Just before the rock I slashed the rear sidewall just bad enough to have to put in a tube. Passed cocktail is completely different story. LOTS OF HAB. Tons of water all over the trail. Freaking ruts eating up the flat pedals. Still had a blast. No one at cocktail when I looped back around and only saw 4 riders on the way down. Soooo much fun coming down even though I was cooked. I was riding a 2019 Nomad as a loaner while my bike is getting some real service done to it. I like everything about it EXCEPT the low BB. That alone will keep me from buying that bike. It had fox fork and rockshox monarch on the rear. Downhill it felt better the man my Gen3 Nomad. But climbing felt cumbersome. Felt like the fork would dive first then roll over chunk. Glad I wasn’t riding my bike today. The loaner was so hammered when I got done I gave her a good soaking in the river at the trailhead. Need to ride this trail more often, it keeps you sharp.

Strada Rossa reconnaissance ride with @riiz, another local friend, and the boy. Trails in the foothills are great! Then we got to Mill Creek. During the last storm the entire floodplain was a torrent of water. Now it's only 20' across, but fast moving and pretty deep. Decided to turn around and head back on dirt roads. Took a little detour to make it interesting, and a good ride back.

Godzilla and I did a quick 90 minutes in Murrieta this AM...gotta be one of the best bang for buck places around these parts! Overdrive was closed for maintenance though :( Rev to JM to Dis to TMB FTW

Mostly primo shape...everything was running slightly slower due to moist soil and some puddles here and there...some ruts on Rev as well

Isn't it great when you demo the latest and greatest and come away liking your own bike better? Happens to me most of the time. I've rarely demo'd a bike and said "OMG I gotta get me one of these!"

Well, except the e-bike I just bou.... uhhh, ummm.. :whistling:

Sunday morning with da' kids. Practice laps at Lake Perris before next weekend's season opener. The lockring on my front rotor loosened up, so I pretty much rode real slow on the DH segments in order to just use the rear brake. Lived to tell the tale!
