Go for a ride in Belgium! I'd love to ride round the Spa Francorchamp circuit. Forests in that area are supposed to be pretty amazing.

Tour de Simi with Jennifer and my buddy Tony. Tony went OTB 2 weeks ago and fractured a few ribs and broke his collarbone. The stubborn old goat insisted on getting back on his bike ASAP. The old fart actually held onto my wheel on the climbs on his MTB.

Jennifer and I did a beach loop from JRA yesterday. Temps were near perfect until we got about halfway up Mulholland on the way back. I saw a high of 95° on my Elemnt. That'll teach us to sleep in. Still a great day on the road bikes.

Two sundowners on the tandem, back to back this weekend. Forty five minutes each, trying to ramp up time and mileage. Pretty fun!

We had a meeting less than two miles from the office this morning so we took the hogs.

    2013 Charge Cooker Hi
Rode my first metric century today. I got the itch to try it, so I rode from my house in Whittier to Seal Beach via the Coyote Creek Bikepath and then I rode along the beach to Newport Beach. I was thinking about going all the way to the Balboa Pier, but I got a late start, so I just turned around right at the halfway mark (about 31.05 miles in).

My longest ride ever on my road bike was about 42 miles (and that was over a year ago), so unsurprisingly, I bonked pretty hard right at 45 miles. One apple and a short break later, I continued my way home. My legs and knees were really tired and were getting tight when I was off the bike. However, although they complained while pedaling, I didn't notice any difference in power or exertion.

I only got passed once the whole ride... by an older guy on a fat tire e-bike. I talked to him once I got to the beach and he was really nice. He said that he bought the ebike after having knee surgery.

Here are a couple of photos. I'm not a big photo taker, but I tried. Haha

Had a bit of a storm blow through the UK over the weekend so no riding was achieved. Managed to get out the last two days for some quick rides in the countryside though and stretch the legs. Grabbed a couple of pics for you guys :)

Waited till the last minute to decide on an early morning road ride. These riders dropped me so fast it was actually funny! Nice group tho and I do need the endurance training so this may be a weekly gig...we’ll see ;)
Road biking is cool, mountain biking is way betterer:cool:
