Cuzz I worked from 6:30 am until 9:00 pm? Again.

 

A pretty good excuse!

 

No Cataract Canyon. That's for multi day trips. Besides, we are doing a family float on a mellow section above Fisher Towers.
Some Class II and III just to keep things interesting.

 

I didn’t ride my bike because it was proud parent day for my wife and I

Next item is running conduit.

To keep the mosquito larvae in check and to keep the water clear, add a splash of bleach to the water once a week.

 

I'm doing my part to exacerbate the drought.

 

Cuz I probably would have ridden on some trail not too far from home that I supposedly wasn’t supposed to be on. I have a feeling it would have had some steep climbing with some off camber and narrow spots followed by some delicious descending. Perhaps a perfect trail for cycling but not for me. Temps would’ve probably been an unbearable 70°. @scottay probably would’ve shown up with a dope new Ripmo and I probably would have drooled all over it and we wouldn’t have had anything to talk about. Could have even encountered countless hikers some of which were younger & sorta friendly but my gut tells me there was going to be some old crusters that just can’t crack a smile and don’t like guys on bikes. Phew sure glad I didn’t ride.

One of my Chinese friends is deathly afraid of sun damage. She has some of the coolest sun protection clothing....

 

Well I am also glad this did not happen to you today!

As for myself, rather than ride my fully capable off-road cycle, I chose to go garage-saleing with my spouse. We then planted succulents, followed by riding our bicycle made for two to go see Deadpool 2. Best non-spoilery jokes: Can't draw feet, Thanos, Martha. Then went to the old-people's club (Tartan) and had great burgers and split a drink. Good times.

 

I can almost feel I wasn't there to not experience this day of non riding in which you didn't drool over a Ripmo or encounter crusty old people. Good work avoiding riding!

 

It's Saturday and I didn't ride my bike today.

School work. And daughter's b-day tomorrow. Probably won't ride tomorrow either, although the sun comes up around 5:30 doesn't it?

Today was trail work day so no ride for me. Worked on trimming back the bushes on sunset trail. Misty conditions made it perfect to run the power hedge trimmers. The poison oak is out of control but we managed to trim back most of the stuff encroaching the trail.

 

She doesn’t want to look poor.

Quick hike with son at Aliso. Lynx looks much nastier on foot. Rad flowers and plants when you stop and take a good look around.

 

...because I am gonna HIKE Joshua Tree National Park instead.
