I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

because NFL is on at 6:30 AM (London game) and all day long... plus it just dumped some rain here in OC.

 

a MONTH. thats right. it has been about 28 days since I rode a bike. so I went and signed up for the filthy fifty. that should get me riding again I hope

I was a pansy and didn't want to get wet.

 

Because.... my Dad came from Mexico to visit us and now me and my family are heading to my sisters house to have some Pozole !!!

 

I spent the day preparing for happy hour.

 

Did not ride today as I woke up and it was raining hard. This excuse made it a domestic maintenance day.
Accomplished things that have been put off too long....

 

Yeah, I didn't get a ride in....should have. With the rain this morning I figured I would get out sometime this afternoon.

Spent the late morning doing TLC on my bike. Already put enough hours on the new Revelation it was due for a servicing. Seems much better now.

 

I have to post here...
It was a DIY around the homestead today. I didn't go very well. Needed to fix a sash cord on a window and it is like Specialized... A proprietary part so no go.

Have had a sky lite on the front porch leaking during rains, took a bucket of roof mastic and a garden hose. Worked on it for an hour and a half and STILL could not find the leak! Call the roofer, honey!

Pulled the 6 disc changer out of the dash of my Dodge to fix the jammed CD's, but like a aviation "Black Box", could not dig deep enough into the unit to allow manual ejection of the discs. It it back in broke.

Soooo, I ordered a new Camelbak (Volt 13 LR) and my quarterly Speedplay Cleats purchase and called it a day!

 

The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

 

Spent the weekend camping and surfing at Jalama Beach.

 

That looks way more fun than sitting at home with a swollen knee. But that's better than a broken <xyz> I guess.

 

I saw the pic before the caption and knew instantly it was Jalama. One of my most favorite beach get aways!
You got to get up early and do a hike on the beach going north along the cliffs when it's low tide. Tons of pools, starfish, crabs, and sea lions...

 

We did hike north around that point in the picture for at least a mile one way, till we could go no farther. My 10 year old son was beat when we got back. There is a crevasse in the mountain and there were a few coyote carcasses in there. It was a good time and finally tried a Jalama burger. They need to do something about that road though.

 

Coz I will go get my todies done. Nothing makes me feel sexier than pretty toes, I wanna be just like Mikie....

I repainted mine tourquoise to better match my bike...

 

My day started at 7am at Salt Creek watching my surf team compete in beautiful 5' conditions (occasionally 2' overhead). It was soooo good out there. My day ended at 7pm with a VB game. The in-between part was quite challenging, but I have a great job. Oh - and that's why I didn't ride today.

 

It was hot today & I was tired, so I rode my red bike with electric start that I don't have to pedal.

 

Can I get away with saying I rode 75 miles yesterday and the day before, combined, so I just wasn't feeling it today?

I didn't bike today because...

I ran 6 miles of hills in 100 degree heat I kept pouring water on my head and it would dry in a mile!

4. The almost-17-year-old offspring STILL doesn't have her permit. Much less license.

Dude. Buy the poor girl a bike.
