Would like to join, but will be out of town. And as out of shape as I am, slow climbs are the only type I do right now.

Too bad I'm going to miss this.
    Have fun!

I am in @rossage's camp on this. I don't think I've ever used "The Form" either. Mostly because I don't want to appear to be "hosting" a ride. That's when the "Who's riding where?" thread comes in handy. Not saying others shouldn't use the form, and not saying I won't join in. Just saying I'm a lazy, irresponsible slob who doesn't want the responsibility of making something happen.

Expedited your graduation from noobism is all. :geek:

You can still be a lazy, irresponsible slob and host/lead a ride. I’m proof.:cool:

Well that’s gotta be the most untrue thing ever posted on the forum.

@Ocpop - There are a few ride reports that are required reading for all new members. Mike’s great divide reports (note the plural...) are at the top of the list.

It’s a short notice but we’ll be shuttling San Juan tomorrow morning (apologies to the hard corelers). Should be at the Blue jay campground about 9 am. Come join the slip and slide in the drizzle!

Bummer you can’t join us. I hope we can still do the Whiting/Luge if the conditions permit.

Hey, you still up for this ride! Haven't ridden much lately, but game for a luge Whiting run if the luge isn't too slippery.

I know mustard and borrego are both sticky so it's best to go up El toro, then STT, Luge, Whiting. start at parking lot on El Toro ( near saddleback church, I prefer this ) or Cooks, pick you poison!
9am start, let's go git some!

No slip at all. Rode yesterday morning and only one maybe 6’ foot patch of mud on luge itself. Couple wet spots and one tiny bit of mud on STT. Probably much drier tomorrow after two days of wind and sun.

If its a 9am start and your just doing the Luge then I maybe able to do it. As long as we're finished by 11/11:30 I should be able to get away with it.....

Where you all planning to start from?

Should be done and at the parking area right about 11/11:30 so you're good.

Meant to say I'll me on a guerrilla gravity, riding fro the house about a block from start point which is next to the local Mega Church, Saddleback.

If whiting is good, why not start there? We can park across the street at Mcdonald lot.

Whiting is open, but there's a large mud pit on Berrego and mustard is like riding on a sponge. Just sayin'...I'd prefer not dealing with that. But if you insist...

See the little entrance right below Saddleback off El Toro? That the parking lot. Have a road ride ( bike path) up to STT.

Try moving this kind of talk to the "Who's riding where?" thread. At least then I have a fighting chance of seeing it and disregarding it there too.

I'm very confused about where and when this ride is. I may be interested in joining a whiting-luge-whiting ride tomorrow morning. If Borrego and Mustard are bad, why not just ride up the front trails like Live Oak, Serrano Cow, Sleepy Hollow and such? Beats riding El Toro for miles, doesn't it?

Its really easy to find. Just below Saddleback road theres a small road about 100 ft long ( 30 meters ), turn in and park. :) adds some dirt on the way back but front loads pavement.
