Hillbilly Engineering: iPad Holder for My Trainer Bike

    Well I had no idea where to put this but I was kinda proud of my Frankenstein iPad holder for my Road Bike on my Trainer.
    So here is my iPad holder hack:

    Starts off with an old Kooka Steering Stem attached to the bars and migrated to 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC which is just shy of locking in the Steer tube so a little Gorilla tape made it yummy tight!
    Steps up to 1" Schedule 40 because that is what I had on hand for all my property water lines. 4) 90's and some PVC Glue.

    Gorilla Tape to buffer the iPad on the PVC. The Gripper thingy came from an old art easel I used for airbrushing T-Shirts back in my stoner days down at Venice beach

    Totally stable, unlike me! Works like a charm to sync the sensor on the Kurt Kinetic to their App on my iPad.

    Out of pocket? Zero pennies.

    Using my iPad now instead of buying a $38 dollar iPad holder and waiting a day or two to get it? Priceless!

    Well, that would improve road riding greatly - at least for me.
    MTB application -you could get some sweet shots on GE rides with that thing mounted up on your Santa Cruz.
