Hello from Van Nuys

Hello from the beautiful coastal resort town of Van Nuys,

I was on STR back in the day, was sad to see that site disappear - looks like the same crew. I signed up for an account a while back here - I think for whatever reason I had a weird block on my IP address but Sidewalk emailed the admin for me and they here was kind enough to unblock it.

I usually ride around SFV, Malibu, Simi, Conejo areas and occasionally Mt Wilson. Occasional sport-class XC racer (but trying to go more this year) at Southridge and Team Big Bear. Tried Over the Hump this year since they had a weekend race this year, had a lot of fun.

Sometimes ride road - mostly Glendora Ridge Road to Baldy when it's closed to cars or beach trail when it's insanely hot.

No J/K - welcome to our little zoo! Glad you decided to surface and post. Ride a lot, write a lot. Or - hell, skip the riding and just write. Works for me!

Awesome! But please tell us you ride an actual mt bike and not a bike with a motor.

I'm not hopeful "he" rides anything... NY in the profile, Utah in the IP address, and Yamaha as a bike.

 

I really like it. I would recommend putting some Loctite on the shock cover bolt. I know some of them (carbon I think) have a knob though. I've met two guys who have lost the shock cover.
