Before some of the others jump in, I'll throw it out that e-bikes are generally not popular around here. And that's putting it mildly. Mostly because we see them constantly where they are not allowed- county parks, state parks, and national forest lands. The legality will almost certainly change at some point.

I'm not familiar with the riding and rules in Santa Clara, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that yours is ridden legally.

 

Hmmmmm.....sounds kinda spammy to me.

 

And I’ll straight up call it out...:ebikes make you lazy and do not make you a stronger rider. And no, the heavier bike does not give you a better upper body workout.

ebikes in Orange County are not allowed in any of the county or state parks....as long as they continue to poach the trails, I’ll continue to demean them.

I understand that for every 1 person that legitimately needs an ebike...there are 100 that are just lazy. And no...age isn’t a disability.

let’s remember, mtn biking isn’t supposed to be “easy”.

Out of the gate we have alarm bells going off Sir.
One: Your screen name appears to be a business. I'll be HAPPY to change that for you....in fact, I shall dub thee.... Scottster since Scott is already taken.
Two: As much as we understand there are some legitimate eBikes situations that make perfectly good sense... imtbtrails in general does not recognize them as legitimate mountain biking. May I suggest you post up your "other" bike... your hBike as oppose to an eBike for your ride of choice below your name as your current bike?

So what may appear as hostile is really concern for a scenario we have experienced a few times now...

We need a code for human powered bikes since there is one for electric-motor bikes (e-bikes). I was thinking "mp-bikes" (Man-powered bikes) but that would not be fair to our lady riders here.

I thought it was appropriately named. Mountain Bikes. All other's have motors thus called Motor Bikes.
hBikes - As in Human powered bikes. I'm POSITIVE @mike will kick in some kick ass terms.

I've referred to human powered mountain bikes as Analog Bikes.

 

That makes sense. But we need to settle on just one letter only because if we go with @Mikie's selection of "h" and we also use yours which is "A", a funny phrase could be created: A-h(ole) Bikes.

 

Oooohhh oooooh, I know! Let's call them "bikes". If you want to be really formal, call them "bicycles".

 

PFMHDCTGBB .. Pedal for many hours don't crash then guzzle beer bikes. Ok I got nuthin.
