4.4 inches of rain in the last 72 hours in Harding Canyon... Sounds like primo conditions.

Unless I come to my senses, I'll be there.

 

IT's the only ride I figure won't have big water crossings with moving water.

 

Plus it's on graded dirt roads so you can't hurt it. Good choice J.

 

OMG this is MY RIDE. At least - it's what I have done the last two Sundays.

Sadly, I cannot make it because both my pool pump and my koi pond pump died on me today for completely different reasons unrelated to the rains. I took care of the pool pump this afternoon (just needed a part) but the koi pump may need a total replace and the fish can't wait.

I want the backyard looking primo for the 2017 BonsaiNut IMTBTRAILS pool party and BBQ!

 

Koi are just overgrown goldfish... carp... eminently edible. so riding takes precedence, no?

 

I've only ridden Harding once and it was a few years ago. I remember some mud towards the beginning, but none after a couple of miles. How muddy will it be tomorrow after all of the rain this week?

 

I'm expecting mud at the very bottom, and then it will be fine... But I'm an optimist!

 

Expect wet, but not muddy. There was water flowing across the trail in several areas last Sunday, before the last two rains.

 

I will probably see you guys as I am on the way down. I have to be home early so starting at 10 is too late for me. I plan on hitting HTT around 8:30 with another rider and hopefully hitting the peak then heading back down the same way.

A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before 10am. Patchy dense fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Breezy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

The wind doesn't look promising.

Its tempting, but I need to do a long ride on the cross bike tomorrow.... Rock Cobbler is in 3 weeks!
