Actually, Harding isn't that bad of a climb, but as a race?

Too bad I don't race - me dig some HTT!! Especially the descent...yaaahoooooo!!!

Those water breaks are a hoot to hit at speed.

Finally - a race tailor made for my strengths, skills and riding preferences!

 

Harding is fun. Unless you're racing to the top. Then it would suck. I'd probably keel over about halfway.

While I won't say my XC racing days are behind me, I might focus on Enduro races for 2016. I'm a slow ass climber to try and race XC

 

I'd rather kiss my dogs kitty litter lips...

 

The Time Trial is only for the climb.....the descent doesn't count.

 

Not sure why, but to me "Enduro" has always meant riding a gnarly, obstacle-filled course without ever putting a foot down. Which is what I rode on my Yamaha Enduro 175...not competitively, mind you.

Maybe I'm just misremembering.

 

And I'm officially registered 50-59 Sport. Gotta do it or I've wasted $45. Come, join me.

I will probably ask myself what the heck I was thinking by the time I get to the top.

 

I volunteer to go along for a training run or two... But as a race? I looked at last year's results.

 

I'll take you up on that...and I looked at last year's results too. Tinker's 52 minute run is in no danger from me.

I'm doing it just to challenge myself, and race against myself. I've climbed Harding exactly once...with you, Cougar, and J. Mayhap I can do it faster this time. Should be a fun race..er, ride.

Oh lordy - I just remembered it's a 1x now. And no, I'm not putting the FD back on.

 

I was nervous doing it on the single speed for the first time last weekend, but it ended up being ok. I just had to focus on keeping the heart rate and breathing in check, and not overdo it in the beginning. You'll be fine!

I'd consider doing it with you, but I just checked the baseball schedule...

 

Everytime up Harding is a TT.

 

Is e-assist specifically excluded? If not, y'all can go for it! Along with anyone that rides a beach cruiser.

 

E-cruiser category starts at 1 pm.

 

I'd still bet on Tinker.
