Wow, and i just ordered a new batch of Truckerco Cream. Which I like better than Stans but still dries eventually.
The finish line stuff looks promising, im tired of gunky valve cores

A little expensive. If it does indeed last the life of the tire then it will be worth it.

Somebody use it and let us know if it works as advertised. I'm tired (pun intended) of being a beta tester for some backyard chemist!;)

    $40 a liter?
    Ouch!

Want to try some out for "shop" use. If it works I will put it in my bike. Finish line makes great products and this shouldn't be any different.

But at $140.00 gallon that is PRICEY.

After a long dorky learning curve, long hikeabike at 1:00 am with no Stans So I used tubes. Then a bad batch, or the new recipe of Stans that was not working and drying up fast. I spent many hours and cheap swill going thru pink-bike, mtbr's homebrew threads. I stumbled on a simple brew that has had no issues now for a year and a half. At minimum it's a good read.

I learn one thing at a time, and under supervision from my kid. But I can ride a unicycle.

I have a full bottle of Orange Seal to go through, and then I might give the Finish Line a try. I like the Orange goo, but it dries up about the same as Stans. In all the tires I've put it in, though, I've only had one creature grow.

Got it! This is the exact one I think: http://g-tedproductions.blogspot.co...howComment=1339087557342#c2072628281849344838

No extra fibers or media in it to help coagulate, interesting.

Thanks for loading it up for me. The only thing I do different from Ted is add glitter, because I have a bunch of colors and it is really pretty inside the tire.

"The recipe is 3oz windshield washer fluid mixed with 3 tsp of Mold Builder liquid latex (which you can purchase at Michael's craft stores). That will likely give you a little more than one 29er tire of sealant, but sometimes I'll just pour the whole thing in, since you do sometimes lose sealant as you bead the tire up."

    That seems way too simple...

All the windshield fluid I'm seeing has ammonia in it, which has always been a big no-no for sealant. I'll wait and see how this Finish Line stuff plays out, but I'll leave the mixing to the professionals. Stan's is pretty cheap if you shop around, around $22 for 32oz.

Look for one designed for tinted windows. That shouldn't have ammonia.

I’m no car tint expert but wouldn’t tinting the outside of a windshield be a disaster after a few bugs/rocks/etc? Doesn’t tinting go inside the car?

I did see some ammonia free concentrate online by some environmentally friendly brand.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001NZFCRW/?tag=imtbtrails-20

“Developed for leading German car makers, Kristall Klar Windshield Washer Fluid Concentrate is 200 times more concentrated than the typical pre-mixed washer fluid. Each full reservoir dose, when mixed with regular tap water, makes approximately 2 gallons of highly effective washer fluid that easily removes road grime, bugs and dirt without causing smearing or glare that can impair driving. Reduces wiper blade wear and tear and eliminates skipping and shuddering. Does not leave white residue on paintwork. Softeners prevent mineral build-up in washer system for optimum operation. And unlike washer fluid tablets, Kristall Klar will dissolve completely, contains lubricants and won't clog your windshield washer fluid system. Biodegradable and phosphate-free. Ammonia-free so it won't harm chrome, paintwork, rubber or plastic. The only car windshield washer fluid that doesn't contain toxic methanol which is typically found in leading brands. Has a fresh citrus scent. Each bottle makes over 12 gallons. Not rated for freezing. For winter and year-round protection, try our winter formula Anti-Frost Concentrate.”
