Has anyone had issues with uploading info to Garmin Connect via Garmin Express?
Greg and I both have Edge 305's and when uploading via Garmin Express 1/2 of the time there are sync issues or all the info does not upload.
Lately, all we get: time, calories, mileage. And after connecting, the elevation data is wiped out on the GPS.
I have tried to sync to old Training Center first but still the same limited info.
Strange that both of our units have the same problem.

I have found that Express is very hit and miss on my 705. Have you tried uploading at to the Classic version of Garmin Connect?

Also, try deleting out your old rides on the Garmin....when the storage space get limited, uploading routes takes forever, and often locks up.

I know you are on Geoladders......try uploading a ride there 1st....if it works, it is not the GPS itself.

Yup - did a hard re-boot and wiped out everything, started from scratch.
I tried Geoladders but none of my rides showed up (lucky for you 'cause all my rides would have knocked you out of the top slot - NOT)
Just confused why it's happening to both GPS - maybe there is Kryptonite or some sh!t in my roof preventing the uploads -
May need to use my REI 20% off coupon on a new unit -

You could also try reinstalling the Garmin Communicator Plug In.

I had a connecting issue the other day on my 500. I just pulled the plug out and plugged it back in and it worked.

Seems like the last 6 uploads have been difficult for my Edge 705. I think my troubles stem from refusal to upgrade from Windows XP...

The Garmin Connect uploads to both Garmin and STRAVA.

Yeah, I know. I have Garmin Connect all set up, and it updates automatically every time I connect my 500 Edge, but I never look at Garmin Connect. Too many issues with the plug-in. That's the point of my "psssst." Strava works.

Yes. And we have secret rituals too. Have to genuflect to the KOM when you upload too. :)

When all else fails, both Windows and Mac will see the Garmins plugged in via USB as an external drive. Copy the file to the desktop (the name of the file is the date of the ride) and upload to either via the "file" option.

Garmin's software, Bluetooth uploads, websites, have issues with uploading via their "plug-in" if you have a lot of activities, or you have a really, really big activity.

Uploading via file method is the most bulletproof.

For some reason, this is the only way I can get files to upload from my Garmin Oregon. Garmin Connect just never seems to install correctly.

I connect my Garmin Edge 500 via USB, and upload from file directly from the Garmin unit. Works every time.
