Hi everyone- just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the forum. I've started to ride again after a hiatus-- I was an avid mountain biker for years riding my local trails at Whiting Ranch and Aliso Woods. At that time, I was also a member of an MTB forum that I've learned has fallen out of favor. While the bulk of my riding was xc/trail/all-mountain I've also dabbled in downhill-- riding my Demo 8 up at Whistler Bike Park and an unnameable DH trail in Laguna Canyon as well as the occasional Fontana session. Also did some 24 hour team races on the East Coast. Now, after a lengthy absence, I come back to bikes with 27.5 wheels and one chainring in the front! Hope to add to discussions here as well as learn from you all and get some positive stoke here. Thank you.

Welcome... Hang out, have fun, jump in wherever you want. A lot of us were members on that other site. Some of us hardly posted, though. The flames were too much!

The most used thread is the "I rode my bike today" piece in the Ride Reports forum. Great place to see what goes on here...

Seriously, though... We're mostly friendly on here, and the arguments are few and far between. A couple of us will be showing an out-of-towner around Whiting and the Luge on Saturday. You're welcome to join! The pace will probably be relaxed, unless @herzalot shows up in Spandex with a borrowed hardtail. (not likely).

 

Welcome. If you want serious riding, you'll have to come north for the Fullerton Loop.

Welcome aboard, and it was GREAT riding with you yesterday. Cleaning the up and over on Coyote (both directions) is no joke these days so to do so after a year off was pretty cool. Sorry you missed today's ride, but glad you've got the stoke back.
