These are all the rage among some enduro riders (and subject to mockery by others.) They might allow you to keep hardware off your forearms, especially if adjusted a little wider than the handlebars themselves. https://vcguards.com

    Okay….
So, I went for the @AKAKTM suggestion and actually stopped in a LBS and picked up a pair of Troy Lee Speed Padded Elbow Sleeves. So glad I went in and tried a pair on! Otherwise I would have got the Large and they would have been too frikken big!
I ended up with XS/Small mainly because there are no such thing as biceps on Mikie. It would be awesome if they sewed a Velcro strap on the bicep end to assist in preventing the wear out and slide down to come.

Any way, I will report back on their performance for their intended use

Are you sure you weren't trying on the leg guards? A large forearm/elbow Speed sleeve from Troy Lee is tight on my scrawny arms - well, for the first three rides anyway. Then they stretch and slide down. I hope these perform as advertised for you. No more cutting! We don't want you to get sent to the Emo ward of the local hospital.

these are what I use for the same stated reason, to avoid cut and surface skin arm bruises. I would really like it if they made them in a lighter color for riding in the summer sun though.

    The Emo Ward, eh?
    That IS funny!
I measured my arms and biceps measured 12” and wrist 7”. This was arms straight. So I am right on the line between XS/SM & MD/LG.
