For sale - sigh - 2018 Guerrilla Gravity The Smash

This is tough, but after spending more time on my Trail Pistol and then hopping back on The Smash, they are just too similar for me to be able to justify keeping both. The Smash would essentially serve as a back up bike, and that's just too much of an indulgence, and a disservice to the bike. I say this with complete sincerity, and not in the trite way that some might say to make it look like they adore the wares that they're voluntarily unloading, but it sure would make me happy to see it go to someone here. To someone who I might get a chance to ride with on occasion, and who will post pics of it in ride reports. I do effing love this thing, but the TP was spec'd with a bit more wherewithal, and there are some nuances about it that I like more. So....here she is:

Size Medium (consensus being that a GG M is more like everyone else's L)
GX Eagle
Rock Shox Lyric RC 150
Rock Shox Super Deluxe Coil shock with 350lb spring
Guide R brakes
Bike Yoke Revive 160mm dropper
Race Face Turbine R bars and crank set
DT Swiss 1900 wheel set
DHRII 2.4wt and DHF 2.5 WT (tires have less than 15 miles on them)

Bike has less than 250 miles on it. Serviced by Pedaler's Fork bike shop, and previous to my last ride it was given a once over and a clean bill of health. It's really pretty pristine. Was not planing on including the OneUp pedals, but that is negotiable. Asking $2,800.

Edit: Most importantly it will include the size L shirt. It's a little big on me, and I don't think I ever wore it out of the house.

I’m 6’ and ride a large and a medium. I’d have to take it for a spin to know how it feels for me.

Yeah, I was pretty set on keeping it, but after what was actually an awesome day on it last week it just kind of hit me that it was the right call. I also think from a progression stand point as a rider I'm probably doing myself a favor by not introducing the variables of switching up bikes somewhat frequently, similar as they may be. I think I also prefer the air shock over the coil, and I don't feel like throwing money at the Smash to make it more like the TP to see if I then like it more.

 

Maybe the coolest-looking Smash I’ve seen, well cared for, near new and IMTBro deal.

That it is, and thanks for the vote of confidence. I spoke with @DangerDirtyD and his stoke and desire for the bike are EXACTLY what I was hoping for, and feels like the perfect sisterhood of the traveling rock and roll bike place for it to go. I promised him I wouldn't let it go elsewhere before he has a chance to swing a leg over it, sometime over the next few days. Officially accepting back up dibs at this point.

Thinking back I remember when I ran into @buggravy up on Albertson in my neck of the woods and I thought to myself that's a beautiful bike and it would fit me if by chance Matt left it unattended for a moment and it suddenly disappeared. BTW I'm 6'. It'll fit Dio!

If it's helpful at all, my Megatrail is a size S (same frame as the Smash). Many other bikes I would ride M. It's a perfect fit (I'm 5'8")

I am just a gnats peter under 6’ and I ride a M RIP9, never felt it being too small. Previous version and the one I have now both M. I demoed the L too. Brands all size differently and it boils down to what feels right.

Would you say the revved frames are more in line with regular sizing now? As in, you were on a m alloy, is your new pistola a 2, or did you move up to a 3?

 

I'd say there more in line with regular sizing. I'm on a size 3 Pistola with the headset orientation in the short position. Cockpit fit is almost identical to my M alloy Smash.
