First rains?

I was so excited when my sleep was interrupted by the sound of rain, but it stopped before I fell back asleep. Im doubtful of how much more we will get. Sadly, Im thinking on and off sprinkles in the evening, not enough to soak the ground.

I'm in. CX practice in Mission Viejo. If it rains hard the truck is 1 minute away. Only a little rain early this morning.

 

Carson City NV, base of the Tahoe Rim, has showers, mid 60s, little wind.

More ground water, less carried water

 

Well, our storm has wimped out. Most of us will be lucky if the ground gets wet.

Driving home from DTLA after work today there was a nice, steady rain passing LAC/USC hospital and all the way through El Sereno. The second I passed the sign for South Pasadena it stopped. It was the exact same driving home from ciclvia on Sunday. So, I guess El Sereno is stoked-the whole 1.5 square miles of that 'hood.

 

The ground barely got damp in Long Beach. Dry all the way back to Anaheim. Nothing more so far.

Coming down pretty good in Cypress, but weird thing is radar shows nothing. WTF???

 

Just went out to dump stuff in trash cans here next to Knott's Berry Farm and yep, it's raining. Not hard, but steady, soaking rain. Don't know how long it will last.

 

It's raining like.... oh wait. it stopped.

 

Rode up Maple Springs to 4 Corners this evening. Connected with @Faust29 & @mtnbikej on the downhill. There was a slight scattering of tiny impact craters left in the dust by a notably brief hint of precipitation.

Spectacular sunset.tonight I could see what appeared to be rain from higher clouds dissapating before it hit the ground lite with orange sunlight.

 

Got like a few drops and was like, eh. Then the skies freaking opened up. Sounded like serious hail. Went outside and it was just real serious rain. Ended in 5 minutes and my patio and garage were flooded.

 

On and off in RSM all night... It drove the dogs nuts. They wanted to be outside to sniff the rain!

 

Didn't happen in SoLag.

Another "storm" fizzles into drizzles.

 

Bone dry, no precip in Northern L.A.

 

Just a little here in the high desert, it sure is beautiful though!

 

It's rained just enough to make a mess of my already dirty 4Runner.....UGH!

+1 on that... and I parked under a tree last night. All the dust that accumulated on the leaves over the last year drizzled onto my car. Ugggh, now I'll to wash it I suppose...

 

It would have done the same to my car, but I parked it in the garage.

Got some rain in SD around 2am and then some more this morning. Nice rainbow over Mission Bay on the drive to work soon faded as another rain shower came through. Pot of gold appears to be in that travel trailer. Wouldn't trust all the other illegal campers to not go pillage him!

 

Some bursts of rain out by Santiago Oaks last night. Should make for some nice conditions heading into the weekend.

Glad to hear there was some rain throughout OC. All kinds of fired up to go dig at Whiting Ranch tomorrow. The need to schlepp bucketloads of water will hopefully be greatly reduced.

 

Thunder, lighting and coming down pretty good right now in N. OC.

Wonder if the OC parks will be open tomorrow?

 

Scattered thunderstorms throughout the night turning into light rain in the morning....hard to say.
