    Just noticed this today:

Use either the Alaska Airlines or Southwest Airlines online shopping portals to place orders at Competitive Cyclist and earn 3 miles per dollar spent. The only worthwhile restriction is "Not eligible on Santa Cruz Nomad bikes & frames." So as long as you can find something you like that isn't a nomad, go ahead and blow $5K on a new bike and get 15K miles on either airline. In some cases that's enough to buy a round trip ticket. I've booked flights on Southwest for as little as 6K points each way.

And have them ship the bike to your lodging in MT or OR so you don't pay sales tax, basically a free bike vacation! AK air doesn't charge extra for bikes on the flight home.

Funny thing is I usually buy a new bike about once every five years. Summer 2008: Ibis Mojo. Summer 2013: Tallboy C. Summer 2018: Dunno. It ain't over yet, but what's not to like about scoring a boatload of airline miles. :)

Alaska Airlines may be preferable to Southwest depending on how many miles you score!

Has anyone here actually used Competitive Cyclist? I placed an order for another set of wheels Monday morning and got an order confirmation and that was it. Nowhere did it state whether they were backordered or not yet my account was charged and I have yet to receive any notification of shipment or tracking number. If this is standard operating procedure for them then I will never order from them again.

That’s where my Hightower came from...

They have “real people” that you can talk to. One of their gear heads reached out to me even before I unpacked the bike and we’ve emailed a few times since then.

Yeah I have, when Jenson did not have what I wanted. They do okay. Not the fastest deliveries but they are pretty solid. I try to stick with Fadi as much as I can now. You can't beat his prices and he knocks it out of the park on service. I just find a reason to drive his way as he is only Pick up. Worth the savings!!!!

They ended up canceling my order with no explanation. I guess my money is not good with them.

Jenson USA is my go to and if they don't have it it's Amazon. Oddly enough my Amazon orders usually come from Worldwide Cyclery.

Does Worldwide Cyclery have a real walk-in store? They are around the corner form Simi, right?

They do but I'm lazy and it's easier to just click click click and wait for the package to arrive. Unfortunately for some reason it takes 3 days to go 15 minutes away.
