Binge drinking Seagrams

With money and reason
The drink's hold was strong
It's addictive treason
He died alone
Like he lived on the street
No one to claim him
Attention discreet
The body sits cooling
No family to claim
No grave awaits
To bury his pain
I'll do my best

As a friend
Peace finally comes

Sorry to hear. Sounds like you tried. There is often no reasoning with addiction and self destructive behavior.

In a mortuary now to see what needs to be done.

This guy just couldn't shake it.

 

So damn sad, this happened to one of my best friends. Something just clicks off. Sorry to here this. Good on you, he did have someone.

Sorry to hear...this is the worst kind of thing. You want to help, you know what needs to be done, but if he doesn't want to then there's nothing you can do. Condolences, and may his soul finally be at peace.

 

Sounds a lot like an uncle I once had. He exited at 40 yrs young. Sorry to hear this Ross, at least you tried.
