I forgot to mention. If there is snow, the ride is cancelled. If there are any rocks along the route, the ride is cancelled. The slightest breeze also will cancel the ride.

Last year’s ride started off at 30 degrees sans snow and ended around 85 degrees sans snow. If there is snow, you participate at your own risk. Otherwise, you participate at your own risk. If I do this ride alone, I’ll be a knucklehead. Please don’t make me a knucklehead.

DDD Paul with Crazy Bear shuttles told me your favorite part above South Fork was unridable. They went up to do maintenance and it was so bad they left it. Check with Xavier. Let us know.

Xavier indicates the Wildhorse-Sugarloaf Trail Loop is good. The segment that is bad is the trail from Heart Bar to Southfork along the south side of S.R. 38. I typically skip that section due to sandy conditions, so no problem there. Thanks for the heads up Bomb.

I’ll see your Hellacious Ride and raise you elevation above mean sea level, increase your singletrack, and lower your shuttle time. Come be Chicken Nuggets with me! Crazy Nugget Xavier has plans to head up there too.

I was trying not to step on your toes.

I'm not paying for a shuttle for this.

But like I said, I fear the WW50 is gonna be the same day...I'll have to wait and see when it gets posted.

In 1989-90 I used to work and live near the SART trailhead.. Back then SART single track did not exist. But the fire roads around there were great for the Specialized Rockhopper (stumpjumper too expensive) .. would explore all over including Wildhorse area.. never thought it would be possible to ride from Big Bear to Redlands single track. .. mountain biking has come a long ways...

I posted the question on Facebook. Lets' see if Eric answers... The Hell Ride date is listed as tentative, so the 26th isn't cast in stone.

My plan is to start from SR 38 east of Heart Bar Camp to avoid Big Bear traffic and shorten the shuttle.

I’ll dial everything in as it gets closer. So far, Dante’s rig can haul everyone that has confirmed.

    What’s the good word @konakc and @MrGreedom?

Also, who has a cow with the CrazyBear?
