Bus to vegas.

Has anyone taken one of those big busses to vegas? Looking to meet up with some friends for the Punk Rock Bowling festival and not feeling like driving. $61 round trip from riverside gets me near the airport on the mega bus.

 

Driving would be quicker. And you would be on your own schedule.

That to me is worth not taking the bus.

 

Yea thought about that. Also thought that it would be nice to sit and sleep on Tuesday morning when I'm probably still a tad drunk or hungover

 

I'm with J on the self driving and will add another reason, having your life in some bored bus driver's hands behind the wheel. I don't like riding in vehicles with other people driving very often and with the texting/social media while driving epidemic these days I'd really think twice about taking a bus on that long drive.

 

You guys are putting a damper on my sit and relax to vegas. The wife is saying to fly but I'm a cheap ass.

 

Takes less time to drive.

 

And you aren't sitting next to weird bus riding folk and sitting on fart marinated seat cushions while driving yourself.

My bus riding days are long over... Mostly for the reasons mentioned above!

 

I think the only reason I thought of it was the hung over drive home.

I still might give it a try but now I am second guessing my decision

 

Buses have that nasty "bus smell" to them also, something to consider.

 

That's the stale farts being released.

 

Maybe I'm just weird, but to me it's always more relaxing to drive than join the huddled masses, yearning to be free.

 

I think I was most concerned about the hung over drive home. It's going to be a short trip, Sunday night come home early Tuesday morning.

 

That's easy, don't drink.

 

Just pull back on the booze.

Booze is awesome as long as you don't feel it the next day. But yea, punk rock (in Lost Wages) with no booze seems wrong. I vote bus!!!!!!!!!!

Because nothing bad has ever happened on a bus.....

 

If you drive yourself you can up and leave when you want and beat traffic home, stop when you need to for hangover food treatment and bathroom breaks. The added time of dealing with bus stops and loading/unloading is a PITA if you ask me. Then again I enjoy road trips even with massive hangovers.

 

Punk rock vegas and 4 hours in my little scion might be the call. Thanks for talking me out of a bad decision.

 

Hire a taxi to avoid the crowds AND to avoid the responsibility of DUI.
