So we can safely say now that "California has a normal winter, people freak out."

Are there really that many people who don't know what an "average" winter here is??

My poor kitty...forget her, poor me!

She was napping on the couch back, right behind my head as I worked. This is new behavior for her as she gets more acclimated to her “new” home, now 8 months running.

I slowly leaned my head back and it touched her side. Well, she absolutely freaked. I felt a split second of scalp attack before she bolted. LOL, my head was bleeding in three places, including my forehead. She looked pretty embarrassed afterward...oops, sorry, dude, my bad.

 

You are never going to let that go...

 

Oh jeez! I’d be traumatized if a cat did that to me

 

If we go back this year, I may get over it. I may even take a squishy bike with gears.

Apparently there was a co-worker dispute and one guy went out and shot up the other guy's car. He got away before the police arrived. It's only breaking news to me because Jennifer works two blocks away.

I would never tool around the BC in those conditions without a oh-sh1t kit in my car. No recovery tools? Sorry, but you’re just plain stupid, and such people lose limbs and lives doing stupid sht like this.


Once we drove through 18” deep snow to bivy in a sno-park. Then the hiway it was on was closed. It snowed a couple more feet that night and we were like 130’ from the road. We busted out our avy shovels and got busy. For five hours. We had like 30’ to go when a huge scraper saw us and finished our escape route in one second flat.

The CalTrans guys were all, How did you get in here?? There was 4” of snow on the road still but they just said Drive carefully! Good day at Kirkwood
