Campaigning to get my bro Pennsylenvy out to Palm Canyon. He's non-domesticated, so no telling how or if this will form up.

I'll toss up the results here if it's looking like fodder for a small group ride.

Yes it's a Floop thang. Ride as many laps as you can in 24 hours. The record I think is 18 laps - 198miles/18,000'. It's a very low key event but it happens. I might do some laps at night after Noble.

I'll be out there, but I'm planning to cheat and start early. I'm not trying to grind out 3 hour shivering cold laps at 2am this year.

Doods! I was just kidding about riding the Floop on a holiday weekend! Go ride on an actual mountain, hence mountain biking. Save the Floop for family-reunion-post-toorkey-digestion where a walk around the block doesn't quite thrill the kids anymore.

 

I think that's exactly what the Tour de Trytophan is.
I might show up to do a lap or two - depending upon how my big screen shopping goes.

 

OK,OK. Now back to some epic ish rides guys (or girls) may have planned!!!

This is a ride for those who live for the ups. I did exactly this route one time with the Bomb Squad, but they actually cashed in with a Joplin romp while I turned around at the white gate due to personal time constraints. What I'm trying to say is don't waste your time (like I did) climbing Harding Truck Trail only to descend it.

Its not for the ups or downs. It for the group photo, and the comradely of riding with friends.

 

You don't...you continue on to Bedford, Eagle or Motorway...or head over to San Juan.

I'm allowed only short rides this long weekend since I've been away [riding my bike] on business trips lately. Since I had so much fun with Sensei and Cisco on Itchy-Scratchy, I'm hoping to ride Itchy-Scratchy to Webb or Itchy-Scratchy to Marshall Cyn for Black Friday and then Barrett Stoddard on Saturday and/or Sunday to enjoy the inclement weather. These options are close to home, with a 3-hour maximum time commitment from me. Therefore, I can get a ride in starting at 7am and be home in time to make my pregnant wife some scrambled eggs when she wakes up.

 

That right there frightens me...

But hey, if crowds are your thing, congrats on the accomplishment!

Some days I ride my bike looking to solitude. A chance to unplug and get away from it all.
Occasionally, I'm drawn to being part of a community of like minded people.

I love the fact that I can do both on my bike.
