Been watching these videos, imo, this is the pinnacle of what mountain biking is all about.

On a side note, that can't be an easy trek on a nomad....

    Beautiful country!

Super light gear list and almost everything in day packs.. I guess the bikes are lighter for HAB's. Filtering water or just not worrying about it? Bear spray and PLB noted.

BTW, is that our @Old&InTheWay in the credits?

Have to agree with you. My riding desires have been moving into this direction for quite a while. Those were awesome vids! Thanks Derek!

Cool vids, just spent an hour watching them. They didn't exactly capture how tough the hike a bikes are though. Some people who see these and decide to go are going to be in for a shocker :sneaky: . Pushing up Yeager Mesa is a good comparison to going up a few of those passes. The easier ones might be more like going up Joplin.

I did ctrl A + ctrl C + ctrl V'd my TR here for anyone interested in more: https://www.imtbtrails.com/forum/threads/tr-bikepacking-bcs-chilcotins-2014.7693/

I had forgot about all the hike a bike, but not the heat and bugs.
