Love those trails... I miiiight be able to jump on a Monday morning ride. Problem is that I'm recovering from a nasty virus, so have no conditioning and still coughing a lot. Good chance of a mid-ride bail out back to Snow Summit. But that still means having a great time up till that point!

@Cougar @StrandLeper and I will be there Monday for a dual adventure. Riding up, riding Skyline from the West to the East. Dropping Snow Summit repeatedly, then returning via Skyline/Pineknot. All the cool kids do it this way.

As I mentioned in the "Snow Summit" thread, (which was the wrong place for my post as I later realized my ride had nothing to do with the bike park) I rode skyline today. I typically ride skyline from the snow summit parking lot, up fern and onto skyline. Easy to west. I end up on 2n17 (camp osito Rd) then 2n08 to town trail.

I noticed that a lot of you guys talk about riding it from west to east. Is there an advantage to riding it west to east or just personal preference?

I have ridden it both ways and it is much faster going east to west. Its always nice to finish with more downhill.

No - 'cause you're skipping the bike park trails... Your crew is even cooler for shunning the temptation of the dark side.

I suggest we hit Big Bear on a non holiday weekend.

    Maybe even next weekend?

Mill Creek Road and Tulip Lane, where 2N10 starts (western side). We should be there by about 9. Forest pass required, but you can buy one at a convenience store on the main road (38) between Tulip and Mill Creek.
