There is no one list that EVERYONE will agree to. It's simply a matter of opinion based on one's personal experiences.

Everyone doesn't have to agree....some people can be wrong and that's okay. At least this list does point out from the start "in no particular order".

It’s a listicle. Cheap click bait. Any facts discerned by the reader are purely incidental. Design the piece for maximum clicks and responses.

The IMTBT advertisers thank you for sending some clicks their way.

Like has been mentioned, any list of the best of anything will likely have some subjectivity. I've ridden half the destinations (2, 3, 4, 6 & 10), so I have not ridden Whistler and Bentonville, but for me personally, I can't imagine Bentonville having better riding for me than Whistler. Yet, I would like not hesitate to check out any of the 5 remaining destinations on this list!

Lol, nobody is "wrong" for choosing what they believe in. Telling somebody that they are wrong for something that doesn't really matter anyway is just....wrong.

List is worthless. Time for me to change and ride my bike home, in an area where I can ride my bike 365 days a year...

Meh. Pretty much the same as every other "best" and "most popular" MTB destination list for the last 5-10 yrs. Solid destinations but there are a lot of places I'd go before many on that list.

I am absolutely astounded that California isn't listed. Even more so that Los Angeles is excluded. And even more so still that the San Gabriel Mountains are not included. And, I'm especially crushed that El Prieto isn't in there! What is this world coming too?

Haha. True. But there are a ton of MTB destinations that are universally popular that I would go to before some of those:

Oakridge over Park City. Much of the Wasatch Range over Park City for that matter. And what about Tahoe and Downieville? Better trails, more variety, and 10x better views. Park City is fun but its barely above Bend on the "meh" scale IMO.

Crested Butte is great but Durango area is much better IMO. Same with Stanley/Sun Valley. Or Whitefish/Kalispell, or Bozeman/Big Sky.

Sedona has become more so popular and overcrowded I can only handle being there for a day or two at most now. St George/Hurricane has just as good riding, more variety, just as good although different views, and trails that are far less crowded.

Bellingham is great but the North Shore is better on so many levels. Or Nelson. Or Revelstoke.

Haven't been to Bentonville, Pisgah or Kingdom Trails so I can't speak to those. But from what I've seen Bentonville is a place I'd probably have fun at but wouldn't hold my interest enough to return to. I'd love to be proven wrong though...

THE BEST PLACES TO RIDE MOUNTAIN BIKES AROUND THE WORLD
Tell me MBA is a US publication without actually telling me.....
The Top 10 best places in the entire world to ride a MTB are all in North America? I'd strongly suggest the staff at MBA invest in some passports and expand their horizons.

That lists the MTB equivalent of the delightfully named baseball "world series"

*Yes I'm quite aware of how that series got its name, for people outside of the US though its a great source of amusement as it at times sums up quite nicely the insular thinking of a vast majority of the people that live here. I'm not including all of you good folks in that generalization :D

You can't tell me there are good places to ride mt. bikes in Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or any of those other places where World Cup mt. bikers come from... This is 'murica goddam it (and Canadia is just the 'murican loft)!

Nothing beats pedaling out of your garage and having access to trail networks that offer everything from flow to slopes that still make you crash.

 Whakarewarewa forest. 55,000ha of forest with over 100 miles of trails. 5 minutes from downtown Rotorua.

According to MBA you'd be better of going riding in Lubbock.

Dio, this bike park was at the bottom of my suburb, maybe a 10 minute ride from the garage. We used to have competitions to see who could ride to the top one legged in the big chainring :Roflmao (oh to be young and dumb again, now I'm just dumb). Its grown a lot since I rode it. Apparently theres a dirt pump track, fancy suspension bridge and all sorts of extra trails these days. The local bike shop I was a feckless youth at is at the bottom of the hill.
