    Hey everyone,

This is a gray tabby, about 8-10 years old, human friendly, child friendly, dog friendly, and cat friendly. He is a snuggly little guy and has bounced a lot recently because of bad previous owners.

    1. First owner left him at the house he sold.
    2. New house owners only let him stay in the garage and barely interacted with him.
    3. Potential adopter said no after meeting him because he was "too old."

Now he is living/boarded at a vet in Pasadena. He is 100% healthy and enjoys lounging. This is one low maintenance house cat. I would adopt him myself but I have a senior cat already and an annoying kitten that wont let me sleep.

    Stay riding everyone!

    Thank you.

What a handsome boy! He seems like a wonderful kitty...someone will be stoked on little Andy. We are at rescue limit presently.

Thanks to you for helping him find a home. Nine is plenty young to have many carefree years together.

Some floors are bare and some are carpeted. And then there's hardwood.

Some bare floors are hardwood, and some hardwood is covered by carpet (Heathens!).

That's what we're talking about, right?

Anyway, I’ve managed to get a similar cat, so my wife is happy. Personally, I’m a dog person. It all began when my brother suffered from an anxiety issue, so we decided to get him a service dog on http:// We had a friend who owned a golden retriever then, so she let us register her pet as a service dog. Luckily it took my brother 2 months to recover. The magical power of dogs. So, I’ve wanted a GR pup since that time. Last birthday my wife got me a golden retriever puppy. It’s hard to express how happy I was then.

Honest question; Can any dog be registered as a service dog? Or do they actually have to be a trained service dog?

According to the ADA, the first requirement is that a person with a service dog has to have a disability. The second requirement is that the work or task a dog has been trained to do must be directly related to the person's disability for it to be considered a service dog. Service dogs are not pets. They have been trained to perform a service.

"Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA."

    Also:

"When it is not obvious what service an animal provides, only limited inquiries are allowed. Staff may ask two questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person’s disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task."

I'll just say this... if you see anything smaller than a mid-sized dog with a "service dog" vest on it, it is almost guaranteed to be a fake/fraud. As far as I'm concerned, people pretending to have service dogs so they can bring their dogs into public spaces should face the same tickets/penalties as someone parking in a handicapped spot without a handicap. Note that to use a handicapped space you HAVE to hold a permit. Interesting that a permit isn't required for service animals.

Also FWIW as of 2011 only dogs can be considered service animals. There is no such thing as a "service cat", "service rabbit", etc... EXCEPT miniature horses. I kid you not. There is a separate ADA provision for miniature horse service animals.

Thanks! And I do recall a story about a miniature horse on a plane a service animal. Found it!

I have to admit, if the woman bought a first-class ticket for her 115 lb miniature pony, and the pony just chilled out the entire flight, I don't have a problem with it. I didn't realize you could potty train a horse (one of the pre-requisites for bringing an animal on a plane)
