I actually thought I had moved to a low enough elevation (1980 feet above) to miss most this kinda stuff…

 

My mom is at 600 feet, and gets enough snow to bury Arkansas...

Buy some cross country skis and get out there!

 

But ain’t she near the North Pole?

I think I read once that for every so many miles north it’s like a gain of so much in elevation, Yada yada yada…

The like button isn't enough as I actually LOVE the 4 seasons and your photos. My lab loves getting out and romping all over the place. I don't know the Arkansas laws but I'd be getting me a Polaris RZR or similar and ripping & drifting thru that stuff!! As we wait for a quality storm in Prescott, I'm relegated to riding the ridiculously tacky, forested singletrack in Prescott with a weekly drive up to Sedona.

 

He moved from a place that had four seasons and he hated winter.

I'll keep the four seasons we do have: desert season, rattlesnake season, June gloom, and fire season. I grew up with snowy winters. No thanks!

I called my mom the other day when I saw the weather showed 5 degrees and 30 mph winds. She said it "wasn't too bad".

 

Never mind the snow @Mikie! My question is are you required to walk around wearing SILLY face diapers? Or mandated to take a jab that don't even work?

 

Looks great, Mikie. I’m with Steve and mtbMike. Pick up some cheap snow toys. Used XC skis…maybe a turbo SXS.

 

I work for a Federal Contractor and currently a mandate has been put on hold and is tied up in the court system related to Covid shots.
Arkansas seems to be a mixed bag of intent depending on where you are. For the most part folks just leave each other alone and let people do what they feel is right for themselves. If you gravitate to the bigger cities they "tend" to get more face mask driven, but even then it is pretty hit and miss and more based on if you are a small business owner who has no mask mandate, or a larger corporate business who lean towards national subjective.

 

Ha hah! I am having an outside blast and can not wait to get back on two wheels!
I sure missed the So Cal rendezvous with You Steve and Rossage the Sausage. I sure would have liked to been there! Keep the trail party going!

I'll be hitting my place of origin afore too long - Outside of Williamsburg, MO in Calwood Township (even today probably less than 100 souls) - and since the states in the Midwest are on the small side it wouln't be more than a few hours to head yer way.
