Another reason to ride at night

Last night as I was climbing up Brown, I happened to look up at the crescent moon and realized the Jupiter and Saturn conjunction was visible low on the western horizon.
My idea was to ride further up the mountain and try to get a shot but clouds started to roll in and the view got kinda hazy.
I’ll try again tonight. The peak event will happen December 21 when both planets will be in their closest alignment.

That is a bonus! Here is my primary reason:

 

I find the Spookynesss to be endearing. And normally the whole mountain is all to yourself. Lots of critters .
When the eyeballs in the distance are 8"inches apart I do a yuuey

 

But you couldn't see the dozens of mountain lion tracks near the sandy switchback. And I wasn't there to tell you about the Ring Camera video from the neighborhood above... The kitty really enjoyed all those chickens, and he's been back several times looking for more.

If we ride again, can we invite someone slower than me?

 

... and isn’t afraid of creepy crawlers ?

 

I guess I’m out then.

 

I’m in if there are kittens and/or cougars, especially if they get friskier at night.
