Gonna be in Aliso for a NYE party and was gonna bring a bike to get in some type of a ride friday late morning or maybe saturday.
Will the dirt be ok after midweek rains? Or will gravel or road bikes be better options?
Anyone doing rides I can maybe tag along with?
I guess by thurs. we'll know how much rain it got.
    PM me with details. Thanks!

After 2” last week and over another inch expected this week, Aliso and lcwp will most likely be unrideable and closed this weekend

    I gots some bikes.
That first mile from the bottom can be a real mud pit. After that it’s decent…

Also the Maple- Motorway loop, but that’s also a drive from Aliso.

Silverado Canyon is a big mess at this time from the rains and Maple Springs is not accessible via Silverado Canyon Road.

Usually it is, but you can't park up near the trailhead. Riding in from the Tree Farm hasn't been a problem in the storms last year.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like road or gravel may in store. I'll keep checking back for my options!.

I expect a lot of snow and ice from this storm too. Was up there today and it was in the 30's at bottom of Motorway.

It’s not mountain biking, but there is the Aliso Creek bike path (paved). You can take it all the way to Cooks Corner- slight uphill this direction. If you’re feeling it, you can continue on to Santiago Canyon Road, which is insanely popular with the roadie crowd, even though the drivers are nuts.

Options down there are really limited after it rains… With very few exceptions, the dirt is unrideable for days.

Thanks, gonna plot a roadie route. I'm actually staying in MV, maybe I can just ride from the hotel by OSO pkwy.
