Well... Now it's time to start cataloging the types of crashes. This looks like a mild "unplanned dismount", although that handlebar position could have made it a lot more interesting. Once you get a "superman" and a "mousetrap", you'll be well on your way.

My first (and last) mousetrap was on the Day That was Not Like any Other Day on GE. I was sore for a week.

 

you have got me, Mouse TRAP? Looking at the photo it is hard for me to restructure the crime. Maybe a high side on that rock, a downhill plant of the left foot and a 90 degree pivot of the left foot while dragging the uphill foot over the bike. I guess I have not refined my resume with mice traps, scorpions, and supermans. But I have crashed so many ways.

What is a mouse trap, BTW? I know what a Superman is, and I think I know a Scorpion (though not really sure). I didn't realize we had names for types of falls other than endo/OTB and Superman. Is a mouse trap that slow fall when you can't get a foot unclipped?

 

Im a fan of the tuck and roll. It evenly distributes the dirt around your jersey. So hard to clean those pesky skid marks.

No Mouse Trap for the OP.
Mouse Trap is basically where the front wheel stops and nothing else does. The rear wheel instantly becomes the front wheel as you OTB still on the bike now underneath it so fast you have no idea what happened! It's a slap so hard to the ground there is almost guaranteed broken bones.

 

Exactly... ^^^ Think of the mechanism on an old fashioned mouse trap snapping shut. That can be you!

I have one on video from last fall... The brim of the helmet took most of it, thankfully.

 

Pedal strike is another instant slam. Usually resulting in an oblique endo.

 

I rarely had pedal strike issues on my Specialized, but once I got my SC bike

 

I did this once on a single track. Lying on my back with both feet clipped in and my riding bud laughing or really LMAO. I am thinking a Superman is doing an OTB with the shock compressing- releasing, while you unclip both feet and leave the bike at the apex. Now you clear the bar and land both feet on the ground. Done this a few times
