As a former Amazon Associate I continue to get screwed trying to stay qualified as an Amazon Affiliate. So I quit!

    Silly me. I clicked on the (2 private messages) thinking I had 2 private messages and it turns out it is a virus. Thankfully AVG snagged it before any damage was done. I clicked around and it only appears to be on that thread.

    Um... @Cyclotourist and @UPSed... We all see different ads, based on our browsing habits. Ed's internet history may explain why his are more penetrating and invasive... :whistling:

    I only see ads for cars lately, as that's all I've been researching since we may have to dump the diesel soon.

    I'm not sure if you're being serious or not... So I'll give my standard spiel. I was a geek in another life.

    The "2 private messages" in the top of his screenshot is located in the ad space. It was generated for Ed as a direct result of his browsing habits... most likely it was a link to more porn, but also contained malicious code. The part most people don't get, though, is that it wasn't actually on Mikie's site. It was elsewhere, and a link was served up dynamically in the allotted ad space only for Ed...

    I'm not talking about the "2 private messages" which is in the ad space generated by browsing habits. Look at the bookmarks above that - oddly enough, between Pinkbike and Strava. If it said Hub Porn, we could accept that it was a website with a bunch of photos of Chris King, DT Swiss, I9 and Hope hubs. But Porn Hub might just be only about Hope...

    No worries. I just find it odd that it thinks that is my browsing history. I haven't been on my desktop for over 3 months. I do everything on my phone. And I'm pretty sure I haven't been on PornHub since I met Jennifer almost 5 years ago!
