Been working on these trails for months still haee a long way to go. But decided to try my hand at filming a couple features. I spent 2hrs setting up and filming. The riding was 2nd fiddle. Still think it came out all right. Let me know.

Pretty cool. Brutal critique? The song vocals were bad, the helmet cam was much lower quality/color and the cut at 1:18 was abrupt.
Drone was cool. Was it following or someone else in control?
The sun position was cool. Good effort!

No worries. 1st attempt learned a bunch for the next. Drone was in active track. It's a bit finicky that way, still trying to get it right. Sun was luck. Song was Sh!t I agree, the video was low energy so was unable to find something in my collection that fit it. Helmet cam was a gopro session. I will look into the settings, thanks for that bit of info.

Good stuff, liked the drone work a lot. Just keep away from lakes!!!
The last transition was a little abrupt, but I really like the camera placement and colors were popping on it.

critique: I saw a flying saucer in the last few seconds of the clip!

But I dig all the angles. Not sure I would repeat the same section so many times (from different POVs), two different POVs per scene/section will do it.

It's a heck of a lot of work to set all that up. My hat is off to you for the patience needed to do it.

Watching all the camera angles that I know you set up yourself reminded me of watching Survivor Man. Kudos to putting in so much work into capturing that line.

I liked it a lot. I don't usually like music in the video, but in this case, it helped set a mood. It set up a really energetic section to follow. That's not a slam. I really did like it.

Being picky, the colors seemed washed on the shrubbery. And, you looked back and up to see if the drone was there (on the drone shot and the helmet-cam shot). Clip it a millisecond before that and it's all good.

Also, the drone is in the shot at one point. Great perspective, but probably should be a separate take.

That really was a great piece of work. Kudos!

Disclaimer: I appreciate all who create. I can't create, I only critique. Thus my opinion doesn't matter.

I disagree. I have not seen it myself, in person, but I have seen it on video.

You create harmony on the gnarly trails.

Thanks, lots of great comments from here and friends. Most appreciated. I need alot of practice before I would deserve payment. Most of that was luck. We will see what happens on the next one.

Just happen to see this. Nice job for a first go! I liked how you mixed in different angles. That's always a great touch in telling the story. As someone who dabbles in video I have some info that may be helpful for your next one. It looked like your drone was a Mavic? If so pick up some ND filters if you haven't already. I believe polar pro makes some good ones. They'll help slow down your shutter speed to give the footage a more cinematic look. If you're not aware of the 180 shutter degree rule then I would highly suggest watching a few youtube vids on it. That will help tremendously on your next video. In short whatever your FPS is your shutter speed should be double that. This will take out the home video look and give the footage a more natural look with some slight motion blur. In terms of the colors were you shooting in D-log with the Mavic because that's what it looked like to me? if so then give it some minor color correction in whatever editing platform you're using. It doesn't have to be anything crazy; some basic contrast and added saturation should do the trick. I'm a former owner of an Inspire 1 so if there's anything I can do to help you with the DJI ecosystem let me know! I hope some of that info helps! If you knew some or all of that then just ignore my blabbering! Looking forward to checking out the next one!

Noted, I knew none of it. I have very little experience. Just watched a youtube video a little while ago that gave me more info on top of what you did. Thanks for the info.

I give it a hearty thumbs up!
I thought for the speed and flow the song nailed it. It ended like you ran out of enthusiasm (or budget).
The lighting may have been luck but it was golden.
If you put out a movie, I would pay to go see it.
I thought you did outstanding for a first cut.
    Well done!
