Registration opened today, so I signed up for the 50-ish (getting that coveted low plate number :Roflmao). Hoping for a wet winter to make the course somewhat challenging like 2017.

I'm still trying to convince Jennifer to sign up again. At least for the 25. If not it will be a day trip for me.

Just tell her there's a beer garden. Or a spa. Or whatever. :sneaky:

    There IS a beer garden.
Sadly, I will miss this year as I am doing another charity (road) ride in Sonoma County the same day.

This is the land of the Range Rover Soccer Mom. There's a spa every 10 feet!

Looking at the registration page... I'll most likely sign up for the 75. Anyone else notice that the riders are going the wrong way on Live Oak on the registration page picture? :p That's the old route that started at Oakley... We'll be climbing that at mile 53ish.

So the 75 is basically the 50-mile loop followed by the 25-miles loop?
I might do it (or I might go to Prescott and do the Whiskey)

The Rwanda ride is a great event... 1000+ people, food, drink, vendors, lots of merriment, great cause. The course, however, is nothing technical. It is XC from start to finish...

Even though every part of it is my "local stuff", I didn't ride it much over the last couple years because most is too flat for the single speed...

This is a ride you do because you want to donate to kids in Africa, and because you like to ride, and because the smack talk between now and ride day is incomparable. ;)

Oh, and it's a fun ride, too.

This year my average pace was 11.5 mph. If I can maintain that on the 75 mile route then I should be able to finish under 7 hours with minimal stops.

You know... We could do this ride any time, but add in all of the fun stuff that the official route avoids.

I’m sure I’ll be in for the 75 but always a last minute sign up guy. I’ve done the last 10 or 11 in a row so can’t break the streak.

Entered ...50 mile for me. This will first time for me. Longest ride i have done on a MTB is low 30s (i actually think i need to train my bottom the most, rather than my legs. That is a long time in the saddle...).
