2019 Confessions

Fess them up... what sins did you commit / goals that you failed to achieve in 2019?

My easiest... December was the first month in eight years that I didn't do a single run. I rode several times, but for a guy who targets two hill runs per week it was a big miss. And lots of Krispy Kreme donuts were consumed.

 

I didn't do the PCE.

Nor did I do the Cannell ride.

For shame!

 

I rode the geared bike way more than I should have.

 

I spent waaaay too much time posting on a mt bike forum...

 

I didn’t drink enough beer!

 

I have nothing to confess.

 

I hiked my bike way more than I should have...

 

I'm still pissed I took the bail out Dunn Rd on the PCE ride last year.. Was a wet n cold ride.. Only 1089 miles in 2019.... Good thing - Didn't pet the one eye monster last year.. .. oh that's for another forum..

 

Internet confessional, how 2020 is that?

 

I confess that I am deeply disappointed that my IMTB family doesn't like 27+ wheel/ tire combo's more. You know what Tony the Tiger says.. They're great!

 

Low expectations. I got nothing.

 

Spent too much time riding and hope to repeat this year.

 

Didn't spend enough time riding this year, but corrected towards the end of the year. Made a 60K ft challenge with a couple buddies and didn't think I'd come anywhere close since I was so lazy the beginning of the year, but actually almost hit it. I really want to shoot for 100K' this year, which I think is doable, since bigger rides have been way easier for me and I'm able to finish them quicker. Otherwise, no huge regrets. I'm actually proud of myself for getting in better shape, looking and feeling better and really just want to keep it up this year. My kids are getting a bit older and it's easier to take them with me or watch them solo, so it's been a lot easier on my wife and I to let each other have time away from the family solo. It makes a big difference.

 

I had impure thoughts.
