I'm riding the money wagon tomorrow. It's got it's fair shares of drops and peaks as the ride progresses.

 

Damn! I’d invite myself but my bike is still at the bike shop!


Did anyone else here sign up for strada Rossa?

 

Dang that's way too long. Bike shops I've gone to are very quick turn around! Was yours a special part that needed to be ordered?

 

I dropped it off at a weird time-right before Christmas. But, the derailleur hanger snapped on them and then I was out of town. It’s a solid shop otherwise and about three blocks from our house.

rain in about 1/2 hour. it is already snowing in the alps above Canada

 

Nice re-visit of Vail, at least the 'mud' rinsed off quite easily, such is hero dirt there! Want to do more maybe towards end of month - Rocky Top, Matco, Ladders, etc. Anyone?

IS there good riding there? Can you post a report?

 

Ive been riding there for a good ten years. Its techy slow riding with some flow mixed in. More and more trails going in. It bordered the Park and now they have stepped in and updated signage and ammenities. They closed the roads in down partially due a tortoise population. I fear that it will be gobbled up by the Park and then closed to mountain biking. The trails are in Trailforks. The area has since been renamed Desert View Conservation Area. Ive posted several reports here about my past rides there. Go get some!

 

Luge Monday morning early before the rain hits. Might do two, depending on how my old man bod feels.

 

Some portion of the front range tomorrow... We'll see how roughed up everything is.

 

I'm riding my car into work today to catch up and prepare for tomorrow. I may swing by J's garage and pick up my bike so I can post next weekend!

Ooof - no I hadn't. Well, hopefully that will come in the form of snow in the mountains thus providing me an appropriate avenue to pursue some fitness and fun!

 

Depends on the time. Suz and I will be heading out for a ride this afternoon, but will be home by dark.


EDIT: I just went into the garage.....it's been here long enough that the tires have taken root into the garage floor. Looks like it's a permanent fixture in there now.

 

I'll wait until nightfall to swing by then and I will bring a putty knife to dislodge the tires from the cement!

Is anyone riding somewhere with dry trails Friday? It looks like that may be my best hope for a ride this week if the weather forecast holds true.

 

Heading out tomorrow after work to explore the San Joaquin river. I heard in a poker game there is a few more gallons of water in there.

 

Signed my GF up for some coaching Saturday at Irvine. Figured I would explore while I was there.

DV continues to amaze me, it’s always been good dirt after the rain. But with the saturation we are getting from the constant rain it’s wetter than usual. With that being said it is in good shape, all puddles and muddy spot are avoidable.

 

Anybody know the condition of oaks and weir canyon after these rains?

 

That looks like the kind that sticks to your tires. I'd stay away.

 

Oaks opened today, so it must be pretty good.
I am planning on hitting it Sunday morning.
