Nope... Too much for me. I'll stick to my one day races with homemade banana bread at the timing tent every lap. :p

And Friday I'll have a house full of company and lots of leftovers to eat.

I've ridden Prescott a fair bit. I may have not yet cracked the "locals only" code, but from what I can tell the trail type it lacks is SoCal's longer, higher-speed dh's. It has technical riding (see Constellation Trails, & Granite Dells next to Watson Lake), and it's a ton of fun, but it's all slow-speed challenge. The one exception I know of is the Groom Creek Loop, but that climbing is tough enough that it's almost not worth it.
I've seen video of a trail or two near Mingus Mt. just to the east of Prescott, which looked like fun, but it appears to need a shuttle or a dumb road climb.
Some of my fav. Prescott trails:
    • Ranch
    • Goldwater
    • Wolverton
    • Homestead
    • Salida Gulch
    • Constellation
    • Granite Dells (Watson Lake)

I get excited about riding AZ, so I'm pretending I'm riding there. I should have been riding there this week, but my son and I both got sick.

No, but since he and I both work in education, I can confirm we're constantly subjected to cooties, on top of what our offspring bring home with them.

I'm not familiar with some of them. But looking up where Dukmejian park is, Loop 2 doesn't use anything unusual nearby far as I can tell. Looks like it goes up Haines Canyon and then drops Stone Canyon. Stone is a bit off menu but is a system trail. Pretty burly descent though.

Excuses, excuses.... :p This is your big chance to check out that trail you've been eyeing up!

I may be around through the weekend if your company clears out and you need something to do. Trail selection will depend how my legs are feeling. But would like to ride Idlehour, maybe Chilao. Might still be working on one or more of the loops.

@herzalot Since you'll be riding with locals, I'm sure they will lead you to some good stuff and all of @redwoods advice is spot on. We frequently link Goldwater to Ranch and Sundog for an 18 mile ride. One of the best rides out there is riding Salida Giulch, climbing up Hoot Owl and coming back down Homestead (which is SART'ish w/o the exposure and much purer single track. I'd guess than 99.9% of locals don't even think of the Constellation trails as MTB trails. I'm not sure if I've ever seen more than 5 riders total out there that weren't in our group. Similarly, Granite dells while much more popular than Constellation is another place we NEVER see other riders.

FWIW....and others looking who haven't ridden here, Prescott is comparable to the trail riding in Big Bear or Wrightwood so nothing too difficult overall and mostly in the trees which is what I love most. The trails are also LEGIT single track as opposed to the 6-8' wide "single track" you find in other places. I wish we had a trail that went for miles and miles like SART but that's not the case. However, you can link shorter trails together and go as far as you want. We have the infamous Circle Trail that does just that and goes 56 miles.

My earliest chance will be Sunday... Thanksgiving this year is the perfect trifecta of Thanksgiving, my wife's birthday, and visiting relatives.

@SnakeCharmer was looking for something on Sunday, as well. @redwoods may be back in the mix, too?

Hmmmm... Idlehour. We've been kicking the idea around. I bet there's a lot of HAB at the bottom, but that trail is other worldly. About 20/4100 including the taco detour.

I'll be there's some HAB throughout considering what we've seen on the other trails lately. How often do the crews get down there to clear things up?

I want to be back in the mix, but yesterday's "easy" 20 miles got me doubting...
I'm going to try to do something tomorrow that should help me determine whether I'm ready. I have a gravel road nearby that's ~500'/mile. It sucks, and there's zero fun payoff coming down, but it's a workout that will expose my fitness level clearly. Shooting for >3000' tomorrow.
