My commute today was the best yet.
The morning gave me the light show and the afternoon gave me 3 F-15s doing touch and go short take off practice. When they fly over the shop I always stop and look. After 40 years of making parts for everything that is in the air, I still am like a kid in the candy store excited.

I had to go to Utah for a week for work.
Total of four Flights, 1 hotel room, a Taco Truck Meet and Greet, a few meetings, and Air Show at Hill AFB, and… one case of Covid when I got home. Tested positive last Tuesday.
Hazy, helium chested, light headed, unmotivated. Killed the 3 day 4th of July weekend for CJ and I.

Ready to be past it!

Oh my gosh! Your kidding. I sat in a hotel room all day last Friday as it was my day off with nothing to do! It would have been awesome to hang out or steal a bike and go for a putt!

 

I was already here then. Dang we could have totally gone for a ride.

It's out there. Sorry to hear about that. I don't travel anymore as the terminals are packed, the metal tubes are packed, the next terminal is packed, and the next metal tube, and the next terminal. To much exposure with too many people from all over the place. To verify my feelings I took a non stop to Hawaii. That was enough conformation for me. I know so many people that have just gotten it. Even when its gone chances are it will return. Sucky man made illness. Heal up.

 

I fly way more than I'd prefer.
Also violated my own rule, didn't wear masks at the airport and in the germ tubes and paid the price Caught the bug a few weeks ago most likely on a cross country flight.

So what do I do? Keep traveling cause it pays the bills.

Pro tip: when you get off the airplane and have to use the facilities, wait until you exit the secure area and use the bathrooms in baggage claim or the rental car area. Much cleaner and usually empty.
