    So a T2 is $440, a 1Up is $640. Is the 1Up that much better?

I will say that it depends on the vehicle.

I found that trying to mount a T2 on a car was difficult. The rack was too close to the ground and made getting into some driveways a chore. 1UP does sit up higher, thus eliminating this problem.

For a truck or high clearance vehicle....doesn't make a difference.

I've still got one of the trays from the T2 we bought back in 2007....still going just fine. Only problem is that it was made for 26" wheels, so you gotta push harder to clear the 29ers.

You probably already know it, but FYI to everyone, you can buy longer T2 arms to retrofit the kid-sized ones on older racks: https://www.etrailer.com/p-752-1272-001.html

I did this with my T2 a while ago.

I haven't had an issue with 29ers on my T2 and pretty sure it is quite old.
I do think the 1Up is worth it, (largely for the lighter weight) that being said - I bought my slightly damaged T2 on Craigslist for $125 years ago.

I've never owned a Thule so I can't really say, I am sure they are great racks

I have owned 1 Ups for about 10 years, besides the safety I mentioned above, they are simple, stout, well manufactured and 10sec in / out with the bike.. In the 10 years I have owned.. I tightened 1 bolt once... that is my complete maintenance record :)

I figure my $500 rack has transported by $20K worth of different bikes 100s of times no muss no fuss... easy ROI for me.

I got away with one of the cheap Hollywood racks for years. Only issue I had was when I got a bit feisty in the canyons in the Fiesta that the bike would try and roll off the rack, a cable lock and better straps solved that.

For the back of the Wrangler, so clearance shouldn't be an issue.

Not sure how geometry affects the bike rack

Ok, so I know this rack won't be for most of you but my friends have been working on this for some time. I even helped by making quite a few machined prototype parts for it. This thing is so stout!
Look, I have a 1Up rack now and when we're off roading our 2 bikes move back and forth so violently I think they're gonna fall off. It's kinda scary to have over 12 grand of bikes flopping around on an so called expensive rack.
So I'm super stoked that they did this, can't wait for mine!
They are working on the double now, made parts for that too.
In the meantime, enjoy the video!

Is that a F'n e-bike? Also, why does that Ford have the Toyota racing colors?

Jason (Raptor owner) has a bunch of bikes. They used the brand new Levo because of the weight but more so to show his confidence in what they've accomplished.

And by the way, they dude sitting on the back of his Tacoma in the video thumbnail is Trek Factory Racings Chuck Harrison.

Interesting rack @doublewide , and holds the bike well, but makes me think how do they keep it from loosening up in the hitch? That's the one thing I've noticed on my rack, it might wobble if I don't tighten the bolt hard.

As noted above they're testing it with motorcycles, so it can hold em tight.

They use a wedge system, which they also use on their Ultra Swing Tire carriers, that can be torqued to 80 ft lbs. That locks it in place and also eliminates the chance of wobble. You still should put a pin in for safety tho. And for security when using a locking pin.

    Hope that helped!

Shipped. Like they as said, about 3 days to ship. Should arrive near the end of next week. The lead time on this purchase is more than acceptable.
