What's the backstory on this nickname for kids?

 

My high school girlfriend called me Meegie Man because she thought my hands were so big. I thought it was cute and called my nephew Meegie Man when he was born a year after I graduated. 10 years later my sister had two more kids (twin boy/girl), and they became the Meegies. Incidentally a soft cuddle with little kids has become a Meegie, and when you squish them together like abused kitty cats, it becomes a Smeegie.

 

Saturday night 10pm MTB ride, depart from my house in La Verne. Climb Marshall Canyon to Potato Mountain Summit, return via fire road and drop in on Itchy-Scratchy, climb Burbank Canyon, drop Webb Canyon to Thompson Creek Road, Climb Cobal Canyon, and drop Marshall Canyon with a few double dips therein. Saturday night (1/30/21) 11pm MTB ride. Depart from my house in La Verne. Climb Marshall Canyon to Itchy-Scratchy to Webb Canyon to Marshall Canyon. Supposed to be melalalachachache. Paging iMTBtrails Itchy-Scratchy Strava No. 1 @Tom the Bomb !

I’m postponing tonight’s ride and will tinker in the garage instead.

 

Anyone wanna ride tonight? A daytime buddy showed me a new segment I’d like to try but not alone the first time. Basically I’m looking for a babysitter for me.

 

This is why I’m scared to ride solo at night these days.

 

Raccoons ate my chickens, so the cycle of life keeps on turning.

 

I’d be encouraged by how many different regular food sources it has. The deer population alone, wow. He looks healthy and I’d bet he gets more than enough to eat without running down a shrieking acrophobic Greek with plastic shells and Lycra.

I night ride, but it as been pretty cold. 57 at the start and 52 at the finish. Not too bad when dressed correctly but cold when you start but warm up in 10 or so minutes. Now you DDD is a monster as you seem to ride at midnight. Start dark end dark.
