It's only $50. Otherwise, I agree with you.

You'd spend $50 to try a new tire that you've been hearing good things about.

Fifty bucks is an eighth of premium. Enough for hundreds of miles. :geek:

I’d spend $90 to try a tire. That fancy valve isn’t bling, it’s a high priced gadget taking the place of something simple and inexpensive.

    EXACTLY my point!

What is bling other than something that is expensive, for what it is, that you dont really need?

Bling is decoration. Cubic zirconium is cheap. The pricey valves aren’t either. Save your dough.

Bling is functional decoration. It serves a purpose.

Ah, no. The “purpose” or “function” of bling is decoration. No utilitarian purpose. Consider etymology.

    Fun troll sesh, though, thanks.

I am confident that I can supply pages and pages of bling that is functional.

But lets just agree to disagree and continue the ride on down the trail.

I thank you for helping form our language by misusing it. Defining bling as anything that is costly and not necessary would be that. Cool, ain't it?

I'd assert that aesthetic quality itself is, or contrubutes to, a function, though most wouldn't see it that way.

Hehe. We think of "art" as somewhat self absorbed (sorry, @sir crashalot ), but design and writing can functionally hobble a piece by being unattractive or difficult. Like a hooker.

I wish I lived in the boonies sometimes. Of course, in High school, most of my classmates used to refer to Costa Mesa as "the boonies." So, I guess it's about perspective.

@Y-not , are those your tire tracks or is someone cutting through your yard?

    70 acres is the boonies.

A bro is on 20 acres. A guy came to his house and asked about the adjacent 40-acre lot because, ya know, he'd love to ride quads out there with his daughters. My bro snaked him and bought it.:speechless:

when burrowing creatures hit my home I used to trap but now I open the burrow up and put in a road flare each direction and cover the entrance to seal. Road flares are gas generators and burn for well over an hour. Burrowers live in the dark by sense of smell. Sometimes I have to repeat, but not often. Those guys have big tunnels They have tunnelled the entire block but just avoid my place. I really do not know why.
