Tie down team going out. The fuel hose is in the ice in the left side of the photo (Starboard side of the ship). We would go out after the tie down and refuel. After refuel they would either shut down or take off again, depending on what was going on.

looks like 1/4'-1/2" in OC lowlands and around an inch in the SantaAna's. And my next day off to ride, Thurs, 89 degrees and everything probly dry again. Dangit!

 

Highway 38 closed both directions right now going up to big bear due to mud/rock slide. FYI.

 

Are you going to join the LCF digging crew who will be going out to work on braking bumps and trail tune ups tomorrow? Oh wait - no, they only dig when it's dry!

SART has already had some damage from summer storms, with the big bridge being washed out, and a few debris flows across it. Nothing bad, but you can see where the flow happened. I hope it didn't get too damaged from this storm.

Feels like years since the last meaninglful rain, yet coming home today it struck me that the AV is so dry and dusty already you'd never know it dropped a couple inches just days ago. I got at least 3" at the house and hardly any runoff.

 

Looking at next weekend….Virgin, UT is showing a high of 59 for race day….should be perfect.

now the low of 35…:that 3am lap…might be a bit chilly.

 

It was 7* in Hurricane last Thanksgiving weekend when the GF and I tent camped there

 

No way! The fridge will keep you fresh as a daisy on your way to a comfortable operating temperature. Looks perfect to me.


Rydem hard, guys. I’m calling the season done here just to brace for the worst. It depends on the next few weeks, really. If it stays like this we could rally; one more good storm and it’s definitely over. Guessing everything above 7k’ is locked up now, and that means pretty much everything worthwhile.

Rain led to some localized flooding.
That orange Challenger in the middle lane is stalled and flooding. Left lane still had about a foot of water.
Police closed soon after I went thru. Maybe 60 cars stuck in there with too much water in front and cars in back.

The Antelope Valley got pummeled early this morning with rain!

 

Looking at the oc rain totals map, laguna beach 1.22, Aliso 1.73, whiting 3.76, SJT 2”, upper Silverado 4.76”!!
May ride somewhere in the Santa Ana’s tomorrow (not blackstar)

 

My gauge at home here in Southern Canada says 4" on the mark.

 

Out of the next 14 days, 3 do not have rain.

Oh, that better improve. I am bike commuting and would prefer no rain.
(I can sometimes borrow the wife's car so didn't suffer in the rain like @Sidewalk yesterday)
