Not for the gonzo guys here, but I needed a new front brake and being satisfied now with BB7's after hydraulic for years, purchased a set with rotors for $75 on ebay. Put one on the front of my 29er, and the rotor was straight with good performance last night on B*.

Any chance all bike shops could collude to strip eMTBs of their parts when received for service so that bicyclists would have more supply? How about an obstacle course out back that must be cleaned before being eligible to receive mid- to high-end bike parts?

So this doesn’t fit my bike. The eyelet at the stanchion has the fancy bearings instead of bushings, and they won’t clear my seat tube where they connect to the seat stay junction. Anyone wanna buy this?

Why not swap the bearing out for a different bushing?

Yea. The piggy back hits the frame and the bearings don’t fit the other mount either. The saga continues.

Isn't there an active GG forum on empty-beer? Maybe someone has encountered this very conundrum...

Went to the local bike shop for a new front brake hose, ended up having to buy a $40 kit for the hose and an olive :( the rest I will have to cut and toss as its no use to me, what a waste.
On the bright side it appears there is no shortage of 96bcm Shimano chainrings. I've purchased three in the last week trying to find one that will work for my particular (non-standard) requirements. Sods law but at the moment it looks like an XTR version will do the job and not a much cheaper SLX version .

I bought a set of the cheapie 180mms. I'd like to get some XTs, but hard to justify the difference in cost.

I am in need of a new chain on the bike that is trapped on the trainer....who'd have thought that would be the one to wear out?

Chains are not easy to find. At least, not the 11-speed chain I want.

I now have the red Corkis on the single speed as well as the Moxie... I'm a believer. @SnakeCharmer and I bailed out on a ride the other day in the fog and rain. We ended up taking the Mount Lowe pavement to get off the mountain. 3 1/2 miles and 2000 feet down in the wet. Brakes made a little wet squeal the first time I used them, and then were silent the rest of the trip. If they had behaved like some of the brand name rotors I've used, I would have been deaf by the bottom.

Miles Racing pads and Corki floating rotors for the win!

I put my name down for a Canyon Stoic... I need something that I can ride on the fullerton loop and the main divide and still have some fun.. The ripmo gets tiring after 3000 feet of climbing...
But the wait has been over 4 months, now they say summer of next year...
Any suggestions on comparable cheap 2nd bike similar to hardtail w/ 140mm in front?

I ended up getting the CYSKY rotors on Amazon. PSA looks like they bought up avid's g3 clean sweep rotors and selling em for $20 per pair , have avid logo and markings

Just the bike I was thinking about as well, depending on one's definition of affordable. These days, it's hard not to consider that affordable for a whole bike. And I didn't go back and check, but I'm fairly certain they say 140 - 160 is all good.

Looking at a new frame, had to shop around a but more than I would want (because I am lazy) to find a BB to put in it. Then noticed I can't find a new brake hose to swap my brakes over to the new frame if/when I buy it! Here I was bothered about not getting XT/XTR 12 speed chains.

Well , I learned my lesson about cheapish off brand Amazon cassettes:
One of the cogs completely detached from the rivets and spins freely, never had that happen before. Sucks because the steel teeth still have hardly any wear it seems. Any of the real players make an all-steel 11speed 11-50 HG cog stack that’s reasonably priced?
