Selling a Large 2018 Giant Toughroad Gravel/Adventure bike. Strava says I've put 400 miles on this thing. This was my gravel/road bike for the last 2 years and I'm looking to clear some room in the garage as I haven't been riding this thing much at all. I've upgraded quite a few things on this bike and it's setup to cruise fireroads and singletrack with ease. This bike has mountain bike tire clearance and will easily fit 2.2 - 29" tires for a monstercross setup.

This bike has fantastic ride quality due to the tubeless 40c maxxis ravager tires and the carbon fork and seatpost. Also included is a set back seat post so that taller riders can dial the fit in should you desire.

Giant website link for this exact year/model. https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/toughroad-slr-gx-1-2018

    Highlights:
-Tubeless wheels/tires already setup with sealant
    -Carbon Fiber Fork
-Carbon D-Fuse seatpost (includes both setback and zero setback carbon seatposts)
    -Hydraulic disk brakes
-Internal Cable routing in frame and fork
-Specialized hover 15mm rise, flared ergo drop bars wrapped in supacas sticky bar tape. This allows you to ride without gloves in comfort and not slip off the bars
-Integrated mounts for garmin, wahoo gps units, gopro and lights
-Upgraded 2 x 10 speed drivetrain 30/46 front chainrings paired with a 11-36 cassette gives you the gearing you need to climb the steepest fire roads (includes wolftooth road link to allow usage of wide range cassettes)
-Ample tire clearance up to 2.2" 29rs
    -Road + Compatible
    -Rack and fender mounts

    Cons:
    -QR front/rear

Do you have any specs on it? JKJKJK. Seriously smashing deal IMO, and I'm happy for once that my neck mandates a more upright seating position.

This is a rare bike to find in shops. I had to order mine. You know, I just realized that this is the first/only bike I ever owned that I've never crashed. I rode this thing with a bunch of different wheel/tire setups: 29 x 2.2 xc tires, 650bx47 road plus and the 40c setup that is on it now. It's a pretty versatile bike and really rides like a drop bar mountain bike on the road. I bought this specifically to do touring/bike packing stuff. Giant sells some racks specifically for it (links below) that are pretty economical. I also actually wanted the qr frame/wheel setup so that I could be guaranteed to find parts in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway, it's got a bunch of pretty well thought out features on it, especially from a larger brand. The silver in the frame is reflective so it glows with head lights coming at it from the side. The front fork has an internally routed brake line so that it doesn't chafe or rub on bags/racks. The frame uses a removable mud and downtube guard that houses the cables so that you can remove the components without disassembly but the bike has the clean internally routed look. Also, the D-fuse seatpost really works, this thing is plenty cushy enough with these 40c tires at 32-35 psi for a blackstar run.

it actually looks pretty good with the racks installed too.

Very good deal on a great gravel bike. Those Ravagers are awesome...I've got them on my steed.

And I have the D-Fuse on the Defy. Don't know why it's not done on all bikes.

IT's got one of those shifty bits thingamiggers up front....wouldn't know how to operated that doohickey.

Nice bike otherwise. Just not in my wheelhouse.

Erik's bikes are always well maintained....you won't be getting a clapped out hoopty.

If it wasn’t 250 miles away and a large. There are miles of dirt roads out here that are perfect for a gravel bike. Thinking of selling my road bike and swapping to a gravel.
