I hope the new trails will have rocks on them and will allow mt bikes. It would be too much to hope that they wouldn't allow motorized cycles of any kind.

We need an “Exploration Trail” type trail in BB.

 

Yes, very cool. The announcement is the second step, I commented on the first round and was surprised to see some opposition to the project because the USFS plans to decommission some dead end roads. So it would be good if people would comment in favor of the plan. The fuel reduction planned is also a very good thing.

 

Seems like public opinion on mtb and summer activities has been rising. Been looking to buy a second place around big bear/lake arrowhead, but prices be gettin' crazier by the month.

 

Big bear cabin prices ain’t got nothing on the bubble that’s blowing in Pioneertown . Folks are paying half a million for Landers cinder block homesteads.

 

Just wait they'll go down. My sister lives there, and she says the average buyer stays about 2 years. Surprisingly, they typically come furnished. Furniture, plates, silverware and family photos. LOL. Seriously, it's a riot. You get a glimpse into another's life.

 

I thought about it a few years back, which would have been good price compared to now. I couldn't get over not having fire insurance and also wasn't sure would use it enough. Sure would have been nice during lockdown.

 

I have friends that moved up there for about 3 years. The husband got tired of the cold and the drive down the hill so they moved. Less than 18 months later, maybe a year, they were back in BB and bought an even nicer place. Guess what, they stayed about 2 years and moved again.

 

That's great news because I have a gorgeous view lot in Landers.
